Default LSU purple turf in 2010

http://www.lsusports.net/ViewArticle...CLID=204919830

This sounds like a trend starting since Boise State has had great success

Good god, If Michigan comes out with a blue field or Ohio State with a red field I'll be sick.

Or Texas with a burnt orange field. That'd be hideous.

Boise State's field is horrendous... why would anyone wish to copy that?

Boise State has had great success? Every time I try and watch a BSU game on their home field (on TV) I just don't get it. Especially if they are wearing their home blue unis. The BSU players are hard to follow with that crappy blue turf.

It's a nice novelty for BSU, but I don't recommend other teams to follow in their footsteps...

Maybe it's like in Halo where you get an advantage by being camo'd and blending in with the environment. Maybe they'll get more INTs if their safeties blend in and opposing QBs don't see them before the throw is made

It would be better if they could light their night games better.

I hate boise's blue turf. I refuse to watch games with it. The game was ment to be played on GREEN grass. I'll give you green turf but colored turf is going too far

Boise states blue field has really grown on me. Its hard to imagine BSU without it at this point.

It looks way better in person though

Eastern Washington, a FCS/Division 1-AA school, is going to play on a red field next fall. Titans All-Pro OT Michael Roos actually donated money towards the cause.

Because it's April 3rd and we are talking about it.

That said, if my Wolverines ever tried changing the field to maize, the fans would hang Rich Rodriguez from the goal post.

Michigan is a school so entrenched in tradition, that having a night game (starting in 2011 against ND) is a huge topic of discussion and concern to some fans.

I'm all for a night game every year at the Big House.

Does Michigan Stadium even have lights yet?

If it'll get rid of Rodriguez, I'll head that way with a can of spray paint tomorrow. I'd love to start watching college football again.

I could coach the Wolverines better than RR. How can you not win at that program?

You are talking not the field but the coveage ...they always send the garbage team to Boise to cover them ...usaly the team that covers Boise State has the skills to cover High School teams .
