Default Top 2011 NBA UFA's - what a list

And have you seen the UFA's for 2011? OMG, I have never seen a list like this before. It's unreal how much awesome talent is out there for hire next year. When was the last time in NBA history that the top 3 players in the league were all UFA's? Good lord.

These are just some of the best.

Kobe Bryant
LeBron James
Dwane Wade
Amare Stoudemire
Dirk Nowitzki
Chris Bosh
Tony Parker
Paul Pierce
Yao Ming
Michael Redd
Kenyon Martin
JR Smith
Tayshaun Prince
Jason Richardson
Richard Jefferson
Tyson Chandler

I know it's a tad early for this discussion but I'll be sick to my stomache if the Lakers are able to sign Amare away from the Suns. I have to be honest, I think Steve Kerr and Sarver where idiots to not get a new deal done for Amare and now he's really showing them how stupid they were. Since the AllStar break, only Dwade is averaging more points per game. And Amare's defense has really stepped up the last 2 months. He's a frickin menace out there right now. If the Lakers end up with him and they can throw out Kobe and Amare on the same team, good god, I'm going to hate life. That will be a duo that will be a nightmare for other teams. It will suck for the Suns to lose him but losing him to the Lakers would be the ultimate worst case scenario.

Anybody else got any ideas where he could land? Not sure if the Nuggies would make a play for him or even if they have the money to sign him. He will be an UFA so he can sign where ever he wants and I'm sure he doesn't want to go play for the Twolves, lol. I bet he goes to the Lakers, I just have a hunch.

I really do not think the Lakers will resign Kobe. They will sign Lebron instead. That is how they conducted their franchise forever. Always looking ahead. They will not sign Amare they already have Gasol and Bynum

Whoaa, curve ball. That's risky man. Bringing James into town. What if he doesn't sign? Then you have a pissed off Kobe and he doesn't sign. That's risky.

This offseason is going to be ridiculous. It'll shape the Association for the next decade plus.

This thread is all kinds of mixed up. LeBron, Flash, Bosh, Amare, Boozer and others are RFA's at the end of the season. Kobe, Kmart, JR and the others are under contract until the end of next season (at which point a lockout is looming anyway).

James got the state of Ohio to change laws for him. I doubt he leaves.

Not sure what you're looking at but here's what I am looking at:

Those who have been observing the Cleveland Cavaliers, Miami Heat, New Jersey Nets and New York Knicks, among others, maneuver to create salary-cap space already have heard about "the Summer of LeBron." That's 2010, the year LeBron James can opt out of his contract with the Cavs.

But the offseason of 2010 is not just the Summer of LeBron. It's also the Summer of Dwyane Wade, Chris Bosh, Amare Stoudemire, Paul Pierce, Ray Allen, Tyson Chandler, Manu Ginobili, Richard Jefferson, Joe Johnson, Tracy McGrady, Yao Ming, Dirk Nowitzki and Michael Redd, each of whom can become an unrestricted free agent in 2010.

Note the distinct lack of Kobe, Kmart, and JR Smith, whom I mentioned.

First I've heard of Pierce though.

It will be funny to see the Knicks will all that cap space watch the superstars reject their contract offers. Dear N.Y. enjoy Joe Johnson and Amare Stoudemire. Those two should make it so you compete for a 5 seed for the next 5 years.

My Bulls are going to be tough once we land Boozer to play PF.

I think the nuggs should go after Bosh...they would be tough with him and nene running the paint...and mello and chaunc outside...Kmart has done an outstanding job, when healthy this year...but I think he will hang em up at the end of the season...he is one tough SOB to play with those knees

Anyone to give Amare a big deal would be nuts. He is proving that he is playing for a contract obviously so his effort is much better right now but it will go away as soon as he signs big. I went to the Jazz/Suns game at the beggining of the month when they came back and beat the suns and even though Amare scored 30 plus he was a big reason the Jazz came back and won. At least six times did he get lost in zone/man defense and his guy got an uncontested layup in second half. You can't really see that from TV.

Same thing for Boozer too except his top bottom end isn't as bad as Amare's because he is a good rebounder.

Well that site has Kobe and Martin as UFA's. Go look. There might be a team option, but none the less, they are still UFA's.

I don't think they have the cap space. They are going to have to get creative to get any better this offseason. They need to find one more big guy to help them get past the Lakers.

I think Joe Johnson is on the UFA list too. I'm serious, don't be surprised if the knicks come away with two prizes. Maybe Bron and Bosh...perhaps Bron and Joe Johnson. The only way McGrady comes back to the knicks is if he takes that tiny exemption.

Kobe can opt out and Kmart has a player option he will take I dont think JRSmith is available untill after next season.

If LeBron leaves Cleveland, he will never sell another shoe in the midwest nor will he be welcome in his own home state. It would probably be a PR disaster for King James.

I don't think you understand the importance of LeBron James not only to Cleveland, but to this state, this region.

I understand his importance, but anyone under the age of say 21 doesnt really care that much. And because they are fanboys, trend followers etc they will still buy whatever nike and the trneds tell them to buy, which is a lerbron shoe or product being even more idolized in a bigger market
