My truck loves the snow, bring it on. Is it wrong to hope for 2 feet?

![]() All the snow here is almost gone! The difference between this year and last year was this year the weather cooperated, we were bettter prepared and the rivers even did what they were projected to do! |

The weather here in Portland/Vancouver was sweet on Tuesday. Sunny and 60's. After work, I put on shorts and power hosed a section of my deck!

For us down here, we have the Ohio River flooding anytime the northeast gets flooded. Whatever the other two rivers (they sound funny) that form '3 rivers' are, they both flow into the Ohio and drain down this way. Makes me wonder why they don't just make huge overflow areas to store water when the rivers go high. That'd be the perfect time to steal water from the river but not affect those downstream. I guess it may not be effective though as you'd have to basically build a lake to save all the water even a small town would need. Maybe it could help though. |
