According to Wikipedia we signed Kevin Mawae today to a 3yr contract...

if true, i'm okay with it, but considering his age and size, i'm not exactly doing cartwheels...

no one is taking it as fact right now...

but this exact same thing happened with the Jamal Williams signing....and it turned out to be dead on...

it makes since...we need a center and Mawae needs a job...

but i'm not exactly holding my breath on this one...

Its entirely possible the wikipedia player entry was changed after the incorrect ESPN entry. No details of why Davis was a Bronco was given, whereas with both Williams and Mawae a contract length and date of signing where given.

Its possible there is some wiki geek working in the FO who likes to scoop everyone with signings once they're in the books.

Also on the Leonard Davis front, wouldn't surprise me at all to see something happen there come draft day. Something like Davis and the Cowboys 1st for #11, if they happen to love a specific player in the top part of the draft. Then we can take a lineman like Pouncey, Iupati, or Odrick, whichever one is still there. I don't think its entirely likely, but weirder **** has happened.

Dallas could certainly use to get someone like Trent Williams for example. Let him take Davis' spot and long term groom him to replace Flozell Adams. The Cowboys would obviously need to have some kind of in house OG option they're also feeling pretty good about for that to happen though.

damn you jamal williams. for the next 2 years, if there is any rumor of a player being signed, someone will run to wikipedia, where it will be reported we signed them, then we will believe it, only to find its not true.

even if it keeps failing over and over, SOMEONE is going to look to wikipedia to see if its true.
