To the Jaguars for this years 3rd and next years 2nd? The Jags would then draft Tebow.
Would you or wouldn't you? |

No, I'm all about second round picks this year, I want at least 4.

I don't think the Jags would give up a 2011 first for Tebow but you never know.

I looked at the prospects if we moved back about 30 spots and I think we would miss out on most of the interior lineman we should be looking at for RD 2.

Do they not have a 2nd round pick of their own they could use on Tebow?
Anyway, the more picks this year the better. With the supposed depth this draft possesses, we should be looking to get more 2nd round picks rather than less. Maybe if they gave up their first next year, but I doubt they'll do that somehow. |

With the amount of Juniors coming out in this draft and therefore less talented seniors next year, The ridiculous amount of starters available in this draft, and the new CBA probably keeping a lot of next years juniors in school I should say HELL no! That would be a really miserable long term trade.
I would really not want to do a trade for next years 1st rounder either because of the possible lack of talent to come out next year. As deep as this draft is, it comes at the expense of those players being available next year. If JAX holds form and becomes a decent playoff caliber team again, like it seems they do every other year, then that pick may not even have the same level player available as this years 45th. It's a huge risk versus getting a real good player right away in this draft and having them develop over the next year before getting a player next year. |

I would give up some of next year's picks to have more picks this year. This draft is exceptional.

Med, if what you're saying is true, what do you think about trading next year's picks to draft to get more in this draft?
Do you think many teams would be willing to even entertain those deals? Which teams in particular? |

I'd want more than that just because of the draft this year. A 2nd rounder next year just won't likely yield the same type of talent as this year (if we play our cards right and get a little lucky)

I would only trade back in the 2nd round if it was at minimum a top 55 pick. Maybe mount Cody would be there at that point.

I'm not a big fan of the over rated 1st round picks unless there is a chance for an elite can't miss player. However you get good value near the 45 spot, guys who might have slipped for some reason. I'd keep the pick
