What is the Broncos best position as we head into the draft?

I voted CB in a toughy over S. I did so as I believe Goodman's maybe the most underrated player on the team and I really like the pickup of Jones. If we use Smith on the outside at his natural position instead of inside at the nickel - I think we'll be more than set. The S spot is awesome too as I really liked what Hill brought while McBath looks like a stud and Bruton/Barrett are ST studs. OT is so impressive with Clady and Harris who I think you can make an argument are the team's two best players - but the depth is so god awful as evidenced by Harris' injury almost exactly coinciding with the downfall of our team.

OT in a landslide, IMO. Both spots held down by young all-pro caliber players. In the context of the draft, you have to take age into account.

Seeing Mike Bell is the only RFA to my knowledge that's even signed an offer sheet out of the over-200 availavble (and I don't think he requires any compensation) - I made the poll assuming all the RFAs are back.

DB is deeper but I think our OT's are the best when you just consider starters. I decided to go DB based on overall depth. I like what McDaniels has done with the defense this offseason too. The DL is looking better and better.

i dont know how people can say OT...harris has had only 1 1/2 injury free years in 3 and while dominant when healthy he is clearly not a sure thing healthwise, our back-ups were gorin and polumbus, and polumbus doesnt fit the power scheme and got b****ed around all year last year...and gorin sucks as well

in fact the only legit Tackle we have thats healthy or even good right now is CLADY.....how the freaking hell is that our strongest position.... hilarious....no really hilarious

i f'in hope not that dude has the rawest technique of the top 3 center prospects....i hope to god we dont get him....i would take C JD walton or RT/G Vladimir Ducasse far before Pouncey for the OL....

I'd say TE is good, except that McDaniels offense doesn't need/utilize a smaller faster TE to split safeties. That's not a diss, but just a personnel change.

The interior offensive linemen McDanails brought in last year were "tweeners." Hamilton/Neil types. Yet, supposedly he wants a power run game. If he doesn't get thumpers for the developmental squad this year, I'd think my suspicion of him being in over his head will be realized.

I voted Safety too as I reckon if you're judging positions you need to look at depth, and at CB Smith is still unproven. I'm hoping he steps up this year but right now he doesn't look as solid a backup as the young pair of safeties. Plus with CB your nickel guy is almost a starter anyway....

D-line should probably get more consideration than it has, but as this is a public poll no-ones going to vote for that for fear of being flamed off the board.....thing is, the biggest issue last year was depth. Now last year's starters (who were solid early in the year) are going back to being backups so we should be pretty well set.

Wth OT I like the starters but the backups are pretty poor I feel, hence not a strong position overall....

OT is not fine we have no back-up capable of stepping in, harris is in a tough spot with his injury, and he really isnt a great fit for a power scheme, but he is a beast i know....but if either him or clady gets hurt we are f'ered, we saw that last year when harris went down and the whole rt side of our line imploded as a result....

We need a legit tackle at depth sooner rather than later in the draft...someone like ducasse who can play both Tackle and back-up guard would be prime....

Tackle we need depth...but, I haven't given up on Polumbus.

Our RB's are a weak link in my opinion. We need speed.

I would not be hurt if they took Spiller in round one and then the best guard/center available in round 2.

They were very fond of him last year before having to waive him because of his injury. Assuming his knee it healthy, he'll certainly be in camp and depending on who they draft - he may have a pretty good shot to make the roster.

Harris battled some back problems at Notre Dame. Those now seem to be a thing of the past and his recent injury (turf toe) is a fluke and completely unrelated.

We have Gorin and Polumbus as backups. Both are good backups, and Gorin was an occasional starter during the Patriots Super Bowl years.

Says who? He's got the size and strength to play a power scheme and was drafted during the time when Shanahan was starting to get away from the smaller linemen.
