I don't know , but this person sure talked highly of him..

He's got excellent body-control and awareness. He uses his blockers (even if he has to knock them over) and doesn't force things when they're not there. Again, I think it's all just great that he can catch, block, kick, cook, paint and any other skills he may have. But, I want to see this guy lining up for at least 1/3rd of our carries. After watching him last year, there is absolutely no acceptable excuse for not giving this guy 10-15 carries a game, or more. If Moreno is what I think he is... he and Hillis could be a brutally effective combo, much like Johnson/White in Tenn. Pepper in Buckhalter on third downs and for change of pace, and we'll run the ball down team's throats. Quote: Originally Posted by Popps I've been saying this since the start of camp. Shanahan tried the same thing for a while until he realized that you just hand this guy the ball and let him run. McDaniels will realize this, and Hillis will be splitting carries with someone, I'd suspect. I don't know that he'll be named a starter, but he very well may be the most effective back on our roster, until Moreno knows the system and is healthy. Even then, those two may be a nice compliment. I understand that the inclination is to move Hillis all over the place because he's athletic. But, he's an extremely effective 1st down running back. There's no need to outsmart ourselves with this guy. Give him the ****ing rock 15 times a game, minimum. |

I admit that Marshall did look a tad lost during the first game but that could be do to a number of things. I mean he was deactivated for most of preseason. Still Marshall went on to have a pretty good year and all. |

Wow. Way to take what someone said over a year ago out of context. And to use it to 1. shut them up or 2. somehow embarass them is not the classiest thing to do. Me personally, I dont give a rats ass what I said about Hillis a year ago. A year ago, things were very, very different and Peyton actually had a chance to do something more then sit behind a converted ILB for most of the season. You and dragster can be better posters than that. ![]() |

These options are so insulting that they practically spit on Hillis' greatness. The NFL Hall of Fame is a given, but they induct mere mortals into the Hall. We need to take more drastic measures.
The team needs to be renamed the Denver Hillises. The name alone would cause opposing coaches and players to cower in fear. Invesco Field at Mile High needs to be changed. Call it Peyton's Palace. With the spectre of Hillis looming over the stadium, we will automatically win every home game each year, because our opponents will forfeit rather than come and face such a house of horrors. That's a good starting point, anyways. |

Actually, I think Bowlen and Co. traded Hillis simply for the thrill of being able to acquire him twice, when we trade for him back on draft day.

I think that the Broncos should replace the mascot with Peyton Hillis and allow a horse to ride him around the stadium.

McDaniels is going to trade our first rounder for him. It's obvious he felt there was a major injustice served when the Broncos gave up a mere 7th round pick for such an amazing player. He wanted to make it right by giving up the 1st round pick that a player like Hillis is worth.

I will miss watching his hot younger sister chomping on Nachos after each one of his carries. The brunett was hot.
