Default Dwan Edwards signs with the Bills

We were looking at this guy and apparently a lot of people were high on him... the fact that he had to sign with the Bills tells you something since other top teams were looking at him also. His neck injury raised major concern for his investment.

Just hours after Dwan Edwards said that free agency has been difficult, the defensive lineman has taken himself off the market.

ESPN's Adam Schefter reports that Edwards agreed to an undisclosed contract with the Buffalo Bills. Edwards, who should mostly play defensive end in the team's new 3-4 defense, also visited the Broncos and Seahawks.

Edwards told the Baltimore Sun Tuesday that some teams had expressed reservations about the neck he surgically repaired in 2008. It's a high-risk, high-reward signing for Buffalo. (We had Edwards in our top ten free agents a few weeks back.)

The Bills also signed linebacker Andra Davis earlier Tuesday.

He had visited the Seattle Seahawks and the Denver Broncos, but didn't get offers because he didn't pass their physicals.

Maybe this is old news but it's the first time I've seen this definitively.

If you recall, they talked about how TO coming in last year was a publicity move just to get folks in the stadium. A team that sucked last year becomes a possible candidate to win games with a fancy FA period.

They're just trying to keep the fans excited.

Pity he failed the physical, when healthy he's a good player.

nope, or giving him a huge contract then leaving everyone scratching their heads if/when teh guy didnt live up to it.

imagine if we had a true GM like ravens or colts, shanny woulda prolly won 4-5 SBs.
