I think just having the chance to win 7 is better than only 5 wins. If you make it to the final 2 - 6 times like the Broncos have you had a pretty good year. Look at the year the Patsy's had when they went 18-1. Sure it sucked to lose the SB but they won 18 games. Sure Failure in the SB is not an option but you did something right to get there.

It is better to win 6 super bowls and lose infinity other super bowls over just winning 5 super bowls and never getting back to the show.

The same is true for us, it is better to have won two and lost four over being KC.

I've always said that too, you did what needed to be done to get there, where were all the other 30 teams. Sitting at home on their loser asses. (See SD). But I have to say that must have really hurt to lose that 19th game, the SB. I laughed for days.

6 trophies better than 5, no question. The question becomes a little harder if SF win another one becuase maybe then 6-0 is better than 6-1, but of course first they have to get back there, then they have to win it.

...and of course you'd rather be buffalo or minnesota than never having been at all....although those four losses on the bounce for the bills was brutal....I was a diehard AFC man back in those days so those losses hurt almost as bad as the broncos ones (my first superbowl was the 42-10 v Washington so maybe I was emotionally scarred by the experience...)...these days I'm much more of an impartial observer if the broncos aren't there....

I remember reading on a Chiefs board that someone made a comment they woul rather be in their position and be 1-0 in Super Bowls with a 100% winning percentage than be in our shoes with a 2-4 record in Super Bowls.

After our appearance in 1998 vs. Atlanta.....Denver was the ONLY AFC team to have been in 6 Superbowls. In fact, that was still true in 2004 when Elway was inducted into the HOF.....he mentioned it in his speech, saying something like, "You don't become the only AFC team to have been in 6 SB's, and not have more players worthy of this honor." (Elway was the first Bronco to be inducted at the time).....

Since then, however, NE went to their 6th SB (2007) to tie us.....and Pitt surpassed us by going to 2 more (2005, 2008) for a total of 7 appearances.
