Hell no. Peyton is the man. Didn't work out for him in Denver but the guy has talent. If Cleveland gives him a chance, he'll be a stud for them in a versatile role. This guy has Edgar Bennett written all over him. No surprise Holmegren moved quickly to secure his talent plus other compensation.

I think it was a good trade for both teams. McDaniels was never going to use Peyton and he undermined his brainwashing of the fanbase because people kept asking him why our short yardage team sucked, but he refused to play Hillis.

I consider Brady a better player than Orton because of his skills. We needed to do something at QB this offseason so we can check that box now.

Good move for both clubs and I wouldn't be surprised to see both having success with their new teams.

He's the only clear winner in this trade. He'll get the majority of the carries for that team.

Thanks for leaving your lane on special teams and giving up a kick return to Darren Sproles for a TD last year on national TV.

Thanks for fumbling the opening kickoff against the Browns on the twenty despite barely being touched.

Most of all, thanks for starting a small cult of followers here on the Mane that exaggerated your abilities and performance as though you were more than a seventh round career backup.

Hey guess what, people make mistakes. Apparently you're willing to crucify them for that. I won't get into wrong, right, McDaniels sheer genius of failing on 3rd and short... the film don't lie.

We shall see next year. Until then, keep proving to us in how many way Jarvis Moss is destined for the pro bowl this year. Or was that last year? Or his rookie year when he was unblockable?

he didn't get a fair chance under McD.

you cannot dispute that.

he did much better than expected when given a chance by Shanny in 2008.

he didn't fit into McD's plans, so it's better to get something for him than just releasing him. but i would have liked to have seen him stick around.

Ignore that Spencer Larsen was a better lead blocker than him and at least he played special teams!

Sure they can. They'll point to the 12 carries he got in 16 games last year that prove, he wasn't ****! ha ha.

Then they'll point out how average he was running back kicks at 6'3", 250 lbs. lol. Honestly, some of these guys don't know their ass from a hole in the wall but their spread it for McDaniels in hopes he right, none the less.

I imagine both teams come out of this looking like winners unless the draft compensation is outrageous. Reflecting on the A. Smith trade which now borders on ridiculous, it could be the case in hindsight.

He got the same chance under Shanahan: backup fullback that got to play when Larsen was injured and failed. Shanahan put off playing him until he literally had no choice.

You people have re-imagined it as though Shanahan, the savvy personnel guy, saw the spark in Hillis and on a whim started him. Suddenly he was racing to glory! He single-handedly defeated the JETS in New York and would have carried us into the playoffs and beyond were not for an untimely quad injury!

Oh Hillis! Your majestic power and fumbling prowess on kickoffs is an inspiration to us all! When you came in late against a gassed KC team and did the same thing the other two starting backs did all game it proved you were the greatest running back on the roster!

BTW, Peyton Hillis has done more than Jarvis Moss, who you likened to a skinny Reggie White. "UNBLOCKABLE!"

Hillis is in a better place for him now. Not Heaven, but I mean seriously. Holmgren uses his fullbacks if they have ability. He demonstrated this with some big use of Leonard Weaver that resulted in Weaver getting signed and used by Andy Reid in Philly.

Can't wait to hopefully see Hillis make some highlight plays for Cleveland next year. (Also excited to see what McD can do with Quinn, so please don't label me a Hillis nutswinger or a McD hater/nutswinger).

So, in two seasons a Bronco Peyton Hillis had a real impact in 3 games. He had 100 yards receiving against Miami and 2 in which he rushed for 200 yds combined (Oak and @NYJ). What's the big deal?
