I don't get the Quinn thing. Aside from being drafted high, why is he considered anything other than a future back-up?

I don't know. What I do know is McD tried to get him last season to replace Cutler. Now he can have him for cheap and we all know how much Simms sucks.

He's got alot of talent and potential, plus he is incredibly smart and came from the watered down collegiate version of McDaniels offense. Let him sit behind Orton this year and then let them fight for the job in 2011 and I bet you Quinn wins that job easily.

We saw how solid he looked against us in 2008, and that was his first NFL start if I'm not mistaken. You put some talent around him with McD's coaching and I think we'd have a winner.

no, we need a real backup. we don't need someone to seriously challenge Orton, because the headache isn't worth it unless there's a clear upgrade, which there isn't.
