I was close with my aunt and she passed last night.

Her services are next weekend.

So I guess the closest place to fly in is Grand Junction?

You could fly to Montrose but when my wife flew out last year the prices were outragous.

Fly to Grand Junction and rent a car. It's cheaper!!!

Check flights to both Montrose and GJ, the prices are usually competitive depending on the time of year. Much easier to fly into Montrose if prices are the same.

I recommend checking allegiantair.com if you are willing to fly Thursday and Sunday. This Thursday they have a $9.99 one way flight from LA to Junction. Also, priceline and US Airways are good places to check for in and out of GJ.

I'm in GJ, but leaving town on Thursday. Let me know if I can do anything to help you out before I leave. When do you plan on coming in?

Thanks again everyone, she was given 6 months to live and I was planning a trip to see her and my mother next month.

It all changed overnight, my mother called this morning to give the bad news.

It was hard getting out of bed for work.

I already booked the flight, $212.00 round trip non-stop.

Sorry for your loss. Looks like you may have already done this as your fare is such a good price, but just in case, most airlines offer a bereavement fare for situations such as this.
