Default What's In Your Bag?

So, What's In Your Golf Bag? What's your favorite club? Any good golf tips or course recomendations?

Which driver do you play?
What irons do you play?
What fairway woods do you play?
What hybrids do you play?
What wedges do you play?
Which putter do you play?
Which golf balls do you play?

My Bag:
Cleveland HiBORE Monster XLS Driver 10.5 Reg. Flex
Old Ping Ti 3 Titanium 3-Wood 14 degree Firm Flex shaft
Taylor Made Rescue Club #5 Graphite shaft Stiff Flex
Callaway X-18 Irons (4-9 + AW) Graphite shaft Reg Flex 2 degrees upright
Ping Eye 2 black dot BeCu (Beryllium Copper) Wedges PW-SW-LW steel shaft uni-flex
Old Ping Echo putter (Manganeese Bronze) with Jumbo Oversized Grip
Titleist Pro V1x Golf Balls
I’m a 8.5 handicap golfer (I have been as low as a 3 and as high as 12)

My bag:

Calloway Big Bertha X Driver (stiff flex graphite)
Big Bertha Steelhead 3 wood
Cleveland Launcher 4 wood

Irons:
Cleveland cavity-back Tour (2-9, PW)
Cleveland gunmetal sand wedge
off-brand loft wedge

Odyssey Black Series I putter (christmas gift... can't wait to start using it)

I'll be replacing my Steelhead with a Launcher 3wood (Honestly, I think Cleveland is making the best fairway woods in the business right now. If you haven't given them a swing, you're missing out) around my birthday, and hopefully will get a new set of irons next year (Hoping for the Titleist AP2s).

I have a bunch of knock off clubs, a nice putter that I got as a gift, about thirty balls, a rules book that has never been used and at least six beers. (I always "forget" to buy tees and ask my playing partner for them)

Cobra Ti Offset Driver .... Oldest club in my bag but I just can't see buying a new Driver when I love this one and Cobra replaced it when I broke the shaft 3 years ago.

2 wood 4 wood orlimar tri metals ...

Two Nike Cpr hybrids , think they are 22 and 30 ... Basically one replaces my 3-4 iron the other replaces my 5-6 iron ...

callaway big bertha irons I just got last year

and my putter my girlfriend got me THAT IM SCARED TO USE FOR FEAR OF GETTING IT DIRTY ...

I suck at golf ... But at least I know it's not the clubs.

I wasn't thinking about golf at all when I read the title of this thread...

Two big ol' stones and a couple of surgical clips.

March madness is a perfect time to get the snip...snip. Three days of laying around watching hoops; just no jumping up and down.

I trust recently picked up golf and have not paid a dime for my clubs. It has all been given to me. Its such a hard game

But I have a Taylor Made R5, some reason doesn't have the stock shaft
Taylor made r7 woods that I can not hit
Old Titleist DCI black something for my irons
a year old set of Warrior wedges
and some cheap dunlap putter
I play with Top Flite Gamers or Titleist DXT Carry, may not be close

I was thinking of starting a golf thread, you beat me.
This is what I've got
Taylor Made R7 quad w/ V2 shaft
Titleist 903 5 Wood
King Cobra S9 Irons, steel shafts
Taylor Made sand and lob wedge
Odessey white steel putter

I can't wait to start playing (I usually wait until May to actually play, I hate playing on dead brown grass) I doubt I'll be plaing that much though, being a new father doesn't leave a lot of extra money or time to spend on golf. Even had to back out of a golf trip to Vegas, but a child is obviously worth cutting back.

I really need a good rescue club and a 3 wood though, although I hit my 5 wood 250+. Was a 10 handicap about 2 years ago when I was playing every week, but now I'm probably a 15 sadly.

Biggest breakthrough in golf in the last 5 years is drivers. I know a lot of guys that hit that Cobra TI offset and still have them in the bag but if you can demo a Taylor Made or Cleveland offset you will be amazed. Cobra was the first to make offsets and made the game a lot more fun for mid handicap golfer. Cleveland is selling a ton of offset drivers and fairway woods.

Driver Ping G2
3 wood 15 deg Taylormade burner
Irons 2-pw Mizuno MP37
Wedges 56 and 60 900 series gun metals
putter scotter cameron newport 2.5

I can shoot 70 to 90. Usually right around 80 playing by the book. Teeing 3, legit drops, no rolling in fairway, putting everything out. Worked at a golf course when going to college and played 5 times a week. I play probably 5 times a month now at best and the desert courses here in AZ aren't the easiest courses when your not hitting the ball straight. I love playing and gambling on the course as that is what has taken the competitive nitch in my life.

Wow, if you can hit a 5 wood 250 yds you don't need a 3 wood.. Have you noticed even the pros are carrying a rescue club, just might be the best thing to happen to golf since cavity back irons. A true 15 handicapper will beat 75% of the golfer’s at most local courses.

Yep a true 15 handicapper will beat most guys that claim to be scratch if you play by true rules.

Totally agree, if I'm not gambling, I'm not playing. It's funny the guys I play with fight to death over a 5 dollar golf bet and will cry like a baby when they have to pull the wallet out, but those same guys will wrestle over who gets to pick up the bar tab at the 19th hole.... go figure

That's one of the reasons I haven't bought a 3 wood yet. Definitely agree on the recue club though, my brother bought one last year (given he's a 1-2 handicap) he used it a lot and had a lot of success with it.

No doubt Dukes ... If I could hit a 5 that long I'd turn pro ... I have a SUPER short game.
Like 7 to wedge I'm money ...

But 0 Long game ... Hence the 2 wood 4 wood I can hit out of the crap after I duff my drive ...

I'd much rather have a solid short game. I'm not trying to brag about being a slightly longer hitter, because it doesn't translate into a lower handicap for me. I have a lifetime of playing baseball to thank for my longer distance

I play 5 days a week M-F and play with the same group of guys (10 to 20 players) all with handicaps. No mulligans, no gimmies and play the ball down, if you touch it or roll it you lose your arm.... and you turn in a signed score card. If you do that that a 2 handicap can play a 15 handicap and when you draw for partners in the money game it's fair.

Yeah I didn't specify what I meant but I meant was most guys that claim a lot lower than they are when you make them play by the rules and a 15 could beat them straight up. It is fun playing like your saying though. Only way to do it, you have to have rules why not follow the real ones.

Go to Green Valley Ranch. Nice, tough public course with a few good teachers. Reasonable rates, too.
