The draft is going to be odd this year....I don't know if everyone realizes it, but the draft is spread out over 3 days this year.
Thursday April 22nd 7:30 PM (Eastern): Round One Friday April 23rd 6:30 PM (Eastern): Rounds Two and Three Saturday April 24th 10:00 AM (Eastern): Rounds Four though Seven |

It will be interesting to have 3 days/nights of the draft, but I am kind of a purist and have always enjoyed the Saturday/Sunday format.
I am sure I will enjoy it those Thursday and Friday nights. Last edited by SouthStndJunkie; 02-16-2010 at 02:32 PM.. |

Wow. I wasn't aware of that. Guess the draft is so popular now it's moved into prime time.

I'm not a fan of the change. We will see how it goes, but I'd prefer Day 1 was still two rounds and day two had the rest. If they want to change days and put it in prime time that's fine, but spread over 3 days and only having the first round on Day 1 seems too drawn out

I feel bad for the guys that have to wait. That has to be torture for 4th round guys that were told they would be 2nd rounds 3rd at the latest.

I hate that it starts at 4:30 here on the west coast. My perfect draft setup would be
Friday: Round 1 starting at 5:30 PT Saturday: Round 2-4 starting at 11 am PT Sunday: 5-7 (not at the freaking 8 am that I have had to wake up at!!) |

That's pretty lame. I always like to have draft weekend be the first weekend I whip out the grill. Grilling out on a Thursday night just doesn't sound as fun to me.

So you always hear the term second day draft type player. Meaning not so good or wasn't thought to be good. Guess we can't use it has to be switched to third day player.

Haha holy hell. Draft day weekend party used to mean sleeping over at my buddy's and playing ****loads of madden/actual football saturday afternoon/all day sunday while following the online ticker (they only used to televise round 1, and not always the whole thing up here), now I have to take time off work??
