If the draft could go exactly how you want it (within reason, Suh is not falling down to #10/11, stuff like that, you get the point) let's see how it looks for you.
This is mine. My perfect draft involves some trading down and picking up some additional later picks. I also like to work it so I can land an extra high pick for the next years draft (2011). You always get more value when you can somehow get picks for the following year, they are not as worth much right now, but the following year you are happy to have them. I think the players I have selected will be there at the selections we have (or get via trades). 1st Round - #10/11 (we trade down to #18) The Steelers really want to move up and get Dez Bryant to give their passing game some kick. We pass on asking for their 2010 2nd round pick and instead we get their 2011 2nd round pick and their 2010 3rd round pick. By not asking for the 2010 2nd round pick, they are happy to make the deal. 1st Round - with #18 Broncos select Mike Iutapi (G) 6'6 330 2nd Round - with #45 Broncos select Colt McCoy (QB) 6'3 210 3rd Round - with #80 Broncos select Terrence Cody (NT) 6'4 370 3rd Round - with #82 (from Pitt) Broncos select JD Walton (C) 6'3 300 4th Round - with #128 Broncos select Micah Johnson (ILB) 6'2 258 5th Round - No Picks 6th Round - (I haven't gotten that far yet in my research) |

I'm doing this mock based on the assumption we resign all of our big time free agents (Dumervil, Marshall, Orton, Kuper). I think this will cost us a lot to keep these guys and we stand pat otherwise. We want to get beefier and tougher on our lines but guys like Seymour, Wilfork, and Mankins are either franchised or the teams want too much in return in a trade. In the draft, I expect McDaniels to move his way around the board targeting the guys he covets much like he did last year
-#10 (Trade Down) The Buccaneers get their DT at #3 in Gerald McCoy. They still need a big time WR threat. They make a bold move to get the best WR in the draft, Dez Bryant. In return we get the 35th, 42nd, and 67th picks in the draft. We now have the 35, 42, 45, 67, and 80th picks in this deep draft class. -#24 - (From Philadelphia) - Mike Iupati G Idaho - We trade back into the 1st round using two of the picks we got from Tampa Bay (#42 & 67). We get our mauling left guard. Paired with Clady from Boise we now have the "Mashing Potatoes" on the left side of our line for the next decade. We still have the #35, 45, & 80 picks in the draft. - #35 - Terrence Cody NT Alabama - We get our bruising nose tackle. This guy drops because of weight problems and he is only a 2 down player. But he does wat he does best, STOPS THE RUN. We still have Ronald Fields and I believe Fields would be a great guy on 3rd downs. We could even play Fields at end on obvious running downs. We get two big maulers with our first two picks. These guys add beef and toughness on both sides of the trenches. - #45 - Brandon Spikes ILB Florida - McDaniels makes another pick to help us stop the run. Andra Davis did a fine job the first half of the season but he wore down and is getting old. Spikes does well against the run, and struggles in coverage. D.J. will help cover up this weakness and Spikes and concentrate on doing what he does best, making tackles. - #80 - Javier Arenas - CB/KR Alabama - McDaniels likes Saban guys and gets another one in Arenas. He's a tough physical corner and is a great kick returner as well. I expect him to make much more of an impact than Alphonso Smith did. lol |

What? Nobody has a draft yet that includes Dan Williams? Wow. Yeah, and thanks for turning a cool thread into a stupid beer lovers thread, that's weak. But every thread has to have it's usual clowns. |

i'm saying we end up with 2-1st rounders in this draft. i think we will try to keep Marshall, but the Ravens are going to cock block us and give him an offer we can't match and we end up with their 1st and 3rd.
i am only doing rounds 1, 2, and 3 because i haven't really started to pay much attention to later round prospects yet. 10 Dan Williams NT 25(from Baltimore) Mike Iupati LG 45 Brandon Spikes ILB 80 Jevan Snead QB 88?(From Baltimore) Eric Olsen C also on a side note in the rounds 4-7 I would like us to pick up one of Blount, Anthony Dixon, or Toby Gerhart. big strong bruiser of a back that we can use in the red zone and in situations where power is needed more than speed and agility Last edited by BroncoMan4ever; 02-10-2010 at 07:22 PM.. |

My perfect draft:
Trade Hillis for 2 1sts 1st round A: Suh 1st round B: G. McCoy 1st round C: Berry 2nd round: Iutapi 3rd round: D. Williams 4th round: McClain 6th round: Bradford 7th round: Bryant Was it supposed to be even remotely realistic? Last edited by misturanderson; 02-10-2010 at 07:37 PM.. |

Okay, I'll go with the scenario that the Broncos put the big price tag on Marshall and the Ravens give up their 1st and 3rd. Then the Broncos take:
11. Dan Williams, DT, Tenn 25. Golden Tate, WR, ND 45. Tyson Alualu, DE/OLB, Cal 80. Mike Johnson, LG, Alabama 88. Kyle Calloway, RT, Iowa 111. AJ Edds, LB, Iowa 173. JD Walton, C, Baylor 204. Sean Canfield, QB, Oregon St. |

10 Dez Bryant, WR
25(from Baltimore for BMarsh) Mike Iupati LG 45 Brandon Spikes ILB 80 Jevan Snead QB 88?(From Baltimore) Eric Olsen C Then make a play for a DT in Free Agency. While I like Williams, #10/11 is too high for him. I'd also consider Mt. Cody at #45. And, if LeFevour or Colt McCoy are available at #80, you take them over Sneed. |

My perfect draft would include Suh or McCoy but that isn't happening sooooo, yes I want to keep Marshall, BUT if that doesn't happen we trade him to Baltimore for their 1st and 3rd, trade Scheffler to Washington for their 4th.
(1)11. Dan Williams (1)25. Iupati (2)45. Dexter McCluster, RB, maybe a QB but I can't see one for the future (3)80. Damian Williams, WR (3)88. Lamarr Houston, DT (4)100. Myron Rolle, safety (4)111. Koa Misi, OLB (6) Eric Olsen, C (7) Zoltan Mesko, punter Last edited by gunns; 02-10-2010 at 10:25 PM.. |
