West stands and floor already sold out. Seats still available but I get the feeling they will be gone soon. $30.00 gets you in. |

Just an FYI: All the hotels in Canton are already booked solid.
C. Falls is the closest you can get at this time. |

I stayed south of Canton, in Dover, for Elway's HOF weekend.
It's a little over 20 miles away, but a pretty easy drive and a lot less congested than it is north of Canton. |

18 rooms available. I just grabbed two queens beds. $85 bones. I may end up bringing the bus and stay on it if I can figure out a place to park but this will be a back up plan. You can cancel the reservation within 24 hrs if you don't end up going but it's a room! Google maps says 4.9 Miles to the stadium. There is an RV park somewhere around there that Jester stayed at for HOF weekend. I'm going to track him down and see what he knows about it and if he plans on bringing his rig. I also put an ad on craigslist to try and rent a single family home with RV parking for that weekend. If something comes up I'll post the price. If a few people want to get in on that it might be the way to go. Last edited by Meck77; 02-07-2010 at 08:51 PM.. |

I got 4 seats in the North stands, Not sure about a room yet, It sucks that they do the presentations so late now, hard if you have to drive to freaking Cleveland to get a room.
For Elway my Sister-in-law found a bed and breakfast way south in some backwater town that worked out well. Not sure if I am going to pack up the whole fambly, all I know is I got 4 tickets. |

actually cuyahofa falls is a good option, you can take rt 8 (which is a state route but it turns into a highway in cuy falls and is a direct shot to canton.

I stayed in Akron in 04 when Elway went in. Wasn't a bad drive down for the game the next day either. I will say that that place was a madhouse for as small as it is and as big of a scene as the HOF is and the game is as well.

Yeah they've gone up big time. It's anybody's guess what they will go for next August but you can be sure the Cowboy and niner fans are going to show up in massive numbers. We need to beat them to the punch!

I had to do a funeral the week before HOF weekend in Canton two years ago. We got in late and had two options : 200+ for a room or this kinda nasty looking chain hotel. I wanna say it was Days Inn but way worse than any Days Inn I'd ever stayed at before. We had to go with the Days Inn because of the price rules we had. I got my room and the bed hadn't even been made since someone slept in it. I told them and they took care of it but they probably just remade the bed and rolled on. That was still 3-4 days before HOF weekend.
Moral of the story: don't try to wing it. You'll regret it if you do. |
