Would staying in Cleveland and making the drive be more affordable? I imagine rates in Canton would be through the roof for this event.
Also, what's the estimated cost for tickets to the induction? |

I am married so harder to sell Ohio than London, England. With a spring training trip and hopefully an Angels vs Cubs in Chicago, I am spreading my resources. Really hoping this was a Little-Sharpe induction. Do you realize the other guys all are on teams that beat us in the SB except Randle (Viks). How many times will you be reminded of those SB losses at Canton? At least being there because a Bronco is getting in makes up for those horrible memories. Meck, bringing the bus? Maybe a bus trip can be done if you need passengers.

well obviously ill be in for this one............hogan as for staying in cleveland........rates right now on hotwire aren't bad at all (under $50 for both akron/canton and cleveland)
Cleveland is much nicer than akron/canton (they have begun to redo the downtown) and canton is hillbilly country........but its a lot closer to stay there especially for those flying into akron airport. If you do decide to stay in canton......the HGI (hilton garden inn) by the akron airport is a nice hotel and 2 exits away from the HOF (about a 5 min drive) it is about an hour drive from cleveland to canton. PS. if any of you are flying in, as a rule of thumb akron/canton airport (CAK) is usually cheaper (and a lot closer) than the cleveland airport. (CLE)
Though for another search option pittsburgh isnt far at all either. |

Got my tickets today. Cali...At this point all I can tell you is I'll be there. Not sure about the bus. It's all about the logistics and where to park. If I can nail down a good spot to park it would certainly be a blast. Might have to get a local like Darhorse or ElwayHOF to knock on some doors to see if Frank still has that land we partied on years ago. Either that or find another local willing to rent an RV spot.
There are some real heavy hitters in this HOF class. It's going to be a party! |

I just put an add on craigslist requesting a house with RV parking near the stadium.
I'll let you know if anything comes back. I'd imagine many of the locals leave town or try to cash in during that weekend. A decent house nearby would be ideal. Darkhorse/ElwayHOF are you guys around? http://www.motel6.com/reservations/m....aspx?num=1135 18 rooms available here. 4.9 miles to the stadium. I booked a room here for a back up plan for now. 85 bucks. Last edited by Meck77; 02-07-2010 at 12:38 PM.. |

They helped us secure a big lot off of Blake St for Elway's ceremony. They didn't offer any of their ground last time but it's worth a shot.

Hey guys... I'd have to say that I'm in for this one. I wouldn't be able to stay for the game but I could B there w/ the RV by Fri Nite. I think I'll be back to work in Indy and could do the weekend thing.

I'm pretty sure I'll be there. I live an hour away.
Hogan, if ya can't find anything, I might just have a couch w/ yer name on it. I'll likely be meeting up w/ McBleed and Ramathorn in Canton...among all others I'm sure. Funds are tight this year and we are planning a Disney trip so this is perfect for a local event that I can actually get to. This puts the kibosh on a trip to Knoxville, but I could commute all week to the events. And Ram...I haven't forgotten ya buddy. Last edited by 27atwater; 02-21-2010 at 01:38 PM.. |

Well guys, a family thing has arose around that same time that may make it impossible for me to go. I'll know more in a few weeks, but I may have a couple of tickets available at a reasonable price for this if so......PM me if interested and I'll keep you up to date as developments occur.
