Default Holt will be available Monday

http://www.nationalfootballpost.com/...ra-Thomas.html

The Jacksonville Jaguars have reportedly informed two veterans, wide receiver Torry Holt and offensive tackle Tra Thomas, that they will be cut Monday.

According to the Florida Times-Union, the transactions will be executed on Monday.

And the players were told about the pending moves because the Jaguars want to give them the opportunity to find new jobs.

Holt, 33, caught 51 passes for 722 yards last season after leaving the St. Louis Rams during the offseason.

And Thomas, 35, started three games for Jacksonville after a previous stint with the Philadelphia Eagles.

Saw that. If we lose Marshall I'd take him for cheap as depth but he certainly can't replace Brandon. For that matter I'd take Tra Thomas for cheap as depth at OT!

I wouldn't be surprised if Holt ends up in Chicago, with Mad Mike there and Hester moving back into more returner mode.

Is there a CB left in the league that would let Holt get separation on him?

I'd take Holt over Stockley, but that's about it. His days of being an important WR are gone, for a winning team that is.
