Default Kurt Warner to retire

One of the best NFL stories ever. Amazing how he made it to the NFL and what he did in and for the league. One of the best role models the NFL could ask for. First ballot HOF IMO. Enjoy retirement Kurt

Kurt Warner has solidified his HOF status the last few years.

Great story as well.

Great man, don't think he's a HOF though.

I think taking the Cards to the Superbowl last year put him in the hof. Great guy, great player.

Maybe we should bring him in for a look, I would give up a 3rd round pick for him.

He'll be in the HOF. Not first ballot or anything, but he'll make it.

For the AFC West teams, this virtually makes the Cardinals game next year an automatic win. Bring on Matt Leinart!

Bad deal for Cardinals since Leinart hasnt really developed into a starting QB

If he's not in the HOF, then there is no reason to have even have it.

- 2 league MVP's
- 1 superbowl
- 1 NFC championship (with a different team)

One of the best stories in the history of football. On top of that he has generally handled the whole situation with poise and class (his wife... not so much). I admire the guy. Sure fire HOF'er in my book.

Actually, he has been to 3 Super Bowls....and he owns the record for the 3 highest passing yardage games in Super Bowl history.

He had that look in his eye at the end of that last game. Like he knew he didn't want to come back for more of that. Warner gave it his all and IMO got the last shred of game out of his body. Superbowl champ, seems like a good man, great story. Like south stand said Superbowl numbers that put him in the upper echelon of all time superbowl qbs. I'd have to say Warner pretty much a stud career.

He really deserved a Super Bowl ring with the Cardinals ...

With the amount of $ he was getting to do the 2nd year on his contract I thought for sure he'd play next year then retire. It's probably a physical issue.

Well... at least we face the Cardinals next year without him throwing the rock.

His career mirrors Terrell Davis' career in many ways. Only thing Warner really has on Davis is a bit more longevity.

I think both belong in the HoF, but I find it amusing how I anticpate the media running with the Kurt for HoF bangwagon while ignoring TD.

No doubt. Look at what they've done since he left. Almost as bad as Arizona was before Kurt came along. The guy's a winner.

GREAT player on the field - GREAT person off the field! And SHOULD be a first ballot HoF'er!

I can't wait to see how the douche-bags in the HoF voting committee screw this one up! Will be interesting to see how the political BULL**** figures into the voting process ... with supporters from St Louis and Arizona scrounging for all the votes they can get!

(Is there a HoF induction/argument thread yet to entertain us through the off-season? if so, can someone hook me up?!)
