The Browns' run defense improved by 44 yards per game after NT Shaun Rogers was placed on injured reserve in late November.
They also held opposing teams to just two rushing scores in the final five games. Ahtyba Rubin appears to be better than Rogers at holding the point of attack and tying up blockers while Rogers excels at getting upfield. With the three-time Pro Bowler due $6.9M in 2010, the team is expected to entertain trade offers.

Maybe I follow the contracts for the NFL and NBA a little too much, but $6.9 million doesn't sound like a lot.

Hmm, is it out of the question to put him at DE in a 3-4?

depends. a 3-4 DE has to be able to stop the run as well as pressure the quarterback. he can do the latter, im not sure how effective hed be on the edge doing the former, or if his size would even allow him to be a 3-4 DE. doubt it though.

For the right price I think Rogers could be a great addition to our defense. I hope we at least look into making a deal for him.

Oh well we improved once he wasn't in the starting line-up but don't let that fool you he is good. I don't think there are many sales people in the NFL.

Scheffler plus a 3 round pick . The Broncos also target Dan williams in the first round. Move Rodgers to De with Williams playing Nose tackle. That would be a huge upgrade on our defence line.

Yeah if we give them Hillis they would be Super Bowl contenders.

No doubt about it.
