Default Champ wise up man

First of all I love having Champ in Denver and he is a pro's pro and a great player major props there. I do have to question his brains about why he wants to stay here with the present shape of team vs going to a SB contender.

I'm not giving up on McD's yet like lots have but, honestly we are miles from SB right now. Champ should go to a team to get a ring.

Well... we will find out this offseason. Champ got HUGE $$$ money on the line for 2010 and team may not want that much on the line for one year.

I'm not talking about what our 2010 record will be. I'm talking about the reality of being a legit SB contender in next few seasons? Unless we pull off some major moves I think 2012 is soonest we can hope for SB shot.

why not? i dont understand what would give anyone the impression that there is no WAY we can compete for the Super Bowl next year or the year after (more realistically)....i just don't get it

the Jets had Kellen Clemens about to start for them last year...then they get Favre outta nowhwere and Sanchez the next year while improving their D and run games....thats how fast stuff happens in the NFL

we havent hit free agency, draft, etcc....and people are already done with us

Until we see what happens in FA and the draft, one has no idea what the 2010 season or beyond will look like, or whether or not the team will be a legit SB contender.

First of all, you say he needs to "wise up" as if he's a FA and plans to resign with Denver. He is still under contract, so whether he stays or goes is not up to him. Secondly, just last season you had a team that went 1-15 that turned it around to 11-5 in a single offseason. The Falcons were (I believe) 4-12 and went 11-5. Why is it a given that we can't get our 8-8 team on track in short order? You think we have more holes to contend with than those two teams did? The talent differential between a losing or mediocre team and a contender in the salary cap era is not that great.

Yea, I hope our good players leave, too. Isn't that the mark of a great fan? Wanting your best players to leave?

WFT?!

It's OK if they leave but if they are traded by McDouche now that's a different story.

He has a little thing called a contract.

Did you think the NYJ were a SB contender even 4 weeks ago?

Yet you know one year from today we will not be.

Other than the fact that we don't have any coaches from last year except McD and will be going to yet another defensive scheme...thats what 4 in 4 years?? Imagine guys like DJ and Champs frustrations..they've been very loyal to this team and don't deserve this crap!! There is always hope though!!

This is what fantasy football has done to the league.

I've known NFLBRONCO for 10 years as one of the most fierce Broncos fans I've ever known. This isn't about what fantasy football has done to the league. This is about what management has done to this team in the last year. We've never experienced this as Broncos fans before. This franchise went from being the model of stability, to uncertainty and doubt.

It's BS to blame the fans for harboring concern and doubts in the middle of a 2-8 stretch.
