Default Mock Drafts anyone?

Ok....I just got done looking at the first 4 mock drafts that I googled......and ALL of them had us taking Rolando McLain.....I'm definitely cool with that.

My one question is that all of these drafts also had us picking at #9....not sure why. I was under the impression that we are 10 or 11.

Anyway.....

We were projected at #7 a while back, looks like 10 or 11 now.

It's 10 or 11... depending on a coin flip.

The mocks are just out of date at this point.

That's what I figured until one of them said it was updated on Monday, Jan 4th.

Meh, no matter.

Unless something happens Mcclain will be the consensus pick in a lot of mocks this offseason, at least until after the combine, senior bowl and pro days when the boards get closer to their final shapes.

Brandon Spikes has dropped quite a bit this year...he looks like he needs to drop a few lbs.

He's got this bowlegged thing going on. I think a bunch of scouts question his athletic ability moving to the next level.

I think what he's going to be in one of those guys that slides due to numbers but is still a heck of a player on the next level. He has great instincts during the games I watched him.

Actually, not a bad mock draft for us. In fact, I wouldn't mind one damn single bit if it came out this way. I love McClain and Williams both and my favorite Center in the draft is Walton. Never heard of that WR but with the other 3 guys there, F yeah I would take this draft in a heart beat.

Round 1 - Rolando McClain - Alabama (HT: 6'4" | WT: 258) ILB
Round 2 - Dan Williams - Tennessee (HT: 6'2" | WT: 327) DT
Round 3 - Jordan Shipley - Texas (HT: 5'11" | WT: 185) WR
Round 4 - J.D. Walton - Baylor (HT: 6'3" | WT: 305) C

Yep....then hopefully we fill our LG spot with Logan Mankins....our O-line will look much better.

Any pick that improves our ability to run the ball and stop the run, I'm down.

If we get rid of Marshall, however, we'll need a playmaker.

Yep....and since I'm not keen on spending a high draft pick to build the interior OL.....Mankins has to be a key FA target.....that would help our run game tremendously.

That four rounder is pretty solid for the Broncos. It'll be interesting to see if we'll have an additional slate of picks from our RFA's or perhaps trades from Marshall, Scheffler, etc.

Exactly......maybe get Bryant or Benn in round 1 and then Spikes or Micah Johnson in round 2. Or get McClain in round 1 and go after D. Thomas from GT in round 2.

What happened to Selvie from South Florida? Wasn't he supposed to be a 1st rounder going into this season?

Shipley is a good slot receiver and has deceptive speed and can contribute on special teams. Kind of reminds me of eddie mac.
