You would have a point had Shanahan been building anything. Eight and eight is eight and eight.

!

I guess this is what Dawkins, Bailey, Williams, and Graham meant by a "hardline" approach.

How can I even attempt to support McDaniels after this? I am embarrassed.

It sucks, as bad as last year if not worse.

That said, what Shanahan was building wasn't taking us anywhere either and pretending he was building some sort of powerhouse is just foolish, in all honesty.

This is an expansion team.
No excuse for this epic collapse ang get embarrassed by a 3-12 team coming in.
Yeah, keep bashing Hillis, Marshall, Scheffler and Royal
Players that could've been the difference this year, and players that were underustilized by McDaniels, whose stupid decisions were supported by the morons so-called "true fans"

This is what you get, and this is what you all deserve!

OH stop.... Kill the Coach if you want but I will not crucify a guy who is working with someone else's tools. I'm willing to give it time till he aquires his tools to build his team. If it's slop at that point, I'm willing to show him the door. Until then, He's my teams coach and that's that

Shanahan was building a defense with Slowik as the DC.

Want to rethink your statement there?

No different then the last 3 years. Actually the one difference is we have hope that this coach fixes what is broken. Not like the final Shanny years when it was the same, cookie cutter approach. I love Shanny but what we have now, is what we have. Shanny isnt coming back

Geeeezus, Shanahan wasn't building anything that was going to work. After 10 years futility even the middle schoolers (and most of the OM drama queens) understand that.

Not at all. Philly said it best about Slowick:

"I will not crucify a guy who is working with someone else's tools. I'm willing to give it time till he aquires his tools to build his team. If it's slop at that point, I'm willing to show him the door."

Alanis Morrisette should have included this post in her song.

We didn't throw away anything.

Mike Shanahan spit in the owner's eye by sticking to a DC that fielded one of the worst defenses in Denver history, with no real D scheme, vision for the future or plans.

Shanahan tore the castle down.

Slowick was on the team for years with a lot of defensive input, and it was clear why. He was simply a loyal yes man for Mike.

But that being said, I'm pretty disapointed with the job McDaniels has done on offense. Can anyone provide any valueable contribution he's made to the offense?

He pretty much single handedly tore down our running game by deviating from the ZBS even though we have plenty of talent to run that scheme. In the passing game we became a predicteable dink and dunk team.

I understand McDaniels needs time and I'm FULLY prepared to give him another two years but what cannot and should not be excused is when he takes something that works like our running game and does harm.

It goes back to what Shannon Sharpe said after the loss to Jacksonville in 96, " This loss will set our franchise back 10 years." Now we know that Josh Mcdaniels will set this team back. First 6 games were a fluke, last 10 were what you get. Mcdaniels=Mangini Ego, then Team, are there priorities.

Give me a break...what exactly has McDaniels done to give anyone confidence in him?

He just got blown the **** out at home by the stinkin chiefs! We hadn't lost to them in 10yrs at home.

We just went 2-8 down the stretch.

Where's the confidence in McDaniels come from. Please!

And in turn we got a year with a coach who perfected what we all despised in Shanny teams, as well as looking at losing another one of our top players.

When was the last time we went 2-8 in our last 10? 1967??
