I was just looking for a thread about this.

Props to Dumervil....17 sacks is pretty bad ass.

Let's hope he adds to it next week.

Good post. Overlooked in the heartbreaking loss, but worthy of mention.

Makes me appreciate and think about Simon Fletcher's previous record of 16 sacks in 1992 again.

I scrolled through twice to see if anyone had started one about this and saw no one had. Tough loss and all, but I think breaking a record that stood for nearly two decades deserved a mention.

You are the ****ing man, Elvis.

Hell yea!

Elvis stepped up and did EXACTLY what a star player should do. He was huge today. Two game-changing plays. That's what a big-time pass-rusher gets paid to do.

I fully admit I've been a big fan of his, but wondered about his ability to show up in this kind of a game. He did it today, and in other big games this season. He showed that he can do it, without question.

Get him extended and start figuring out a way to get some other guys after the QB.

And to think this is the first year for him in this new spot. He'll only get better.

Hell ya.

In his first season playing linebacker no less.

This is probably his statistical peak, but I'm sure next year we'll see a much more dangerous and consistent pass rusher in Dumervil.

Simon Fletcher never got the respect he deserved. Hopefully Elvis makes the pro bowl which was amazing Fletcher did not make one of them. Muslim? Never knew that and he is my adopt a Bronco. Ask Mock. He seems to know which guys to hate. I think he has McDaniels as a Muslim.

He needs 6 next week to break Strahan's record of 22.5 in a season. Think Cassel will lay down like Britfar did?

Elvis Dumervil has 43 sacks in 60 career games.

To put that in a little perspective:

Elvis Dumervil = .72 sacks per game for his career.

Jared Allen = .78 sacks per game for his career.

DeMarcus Ware = .83 sacks per game for his career.

Dwight Freeney = .72 sacks per game for his career.

Julius Peppers = .67 sacks per game for his career.

Doom has been probably my favorite current Bronco for a long time now.

Please lock him up McD. He needs to build upon what he started this year in the 3-4.

I'm not under any illusions that he'll ever have a season (statistically) like this one again. But I believe, especially in a 3-4, he can hit 10-15 sacks a season for the rest of his career.

He's definitely fun to like, that's for sure.

Who is Doom's biggest competition for Defensive POY? Darelle Revis? Jared Allen? Darren Sharper? Charles Woodson?
