QUICKLY:

* Sunday’s game marks Denver’s final NFC game of the regular season. Facing NFC East teams, the Broncos own a 2-1 record this year having defeated Dallas and the New York Giants while losing to Washington.

OFFENSE:

* The Broncos have turned the ball over once or fewer in nine of 14 games played and are tied for fifth in the league in fewest giveaways (19).
* QB Kyle Orton has posted nine games this season with a passer rating of at least 90.0 with that total tying for third in the NFL this year and tying for second in Denver history for a single season.
* WR Brandon Marshall, whose 10 receiving touchdowns are the most by a Bronco in eight years, is seven receptions away from becoming the fifth player in NFL history with three consecutive 100-catch seasons.
* RB Knowshon Moreno leads NFL rookies in rushing yards (879) and yards from scrimmage (1,027). He is only the seventh rookie in Broncos history to post 1,000 yards from scrimmage.

DEFENSE:

* S Brian Dawkins spent his first 13 NFL seasons (1996-2008) in Philadelphia. He finished his Eagles career as the franchise’s all-time leader in regular-season games played (183), postseason starts (18) and overall wins (109) while totaling seven Pro Bowl appearances.
* OLB/DE Elvis Dumervil leads the NFL with 15 sacks and is looking to become the Broncos’ first-ever league sack champion. He is one sack away from Denver’s record for most sacks in a season (16, Simon Fletcher, 1992).
* The Broncos have two players with 100 tackles—ILB D.J. Williams (105, 4th 100-tackle season) and Dawkins (100, 7th 100-tackle season).

SPECIAL TEAMS:

* K Matt Prater has made 15-of-16 (93.8) field-goal attempts since November for the fourth-best percentage in the league during that time. His 27 field goals this year rank third in the NFL.
* Eight Broncos have registered at least seven stops on coverage units.

“All Ready”- Darrent Williams

"They blitz so much that you have unblocked guys coming at the quarterback, and the quarterback has to get the ball out. There’s no question about it, they blitz so many guys that you just can’t pick it up. When the quarterback is under duress, he’s trying to find open guys and they’re trapping guys, they’re jumping routes and Samuel is very playing aggressive and coming off of his guy to make a play on another guy. Everything is just coming at the quarterback so fast and they’re extremely aggressive and smart in the back end trying to be just as aggressive and making plays." – Kyle Orton

"We are full blown into our preparation for the (Philadelphia) Eagles. This team is, I would say, as explosive of a team as we’ve played all year, no question about it. They start fast, they’ve pretty much dominated the first quarter all year long (and) the first half all year long, and that’s the key to their success. They’ve got explosive players on offense. All of their skill players make great plays. (QB Donovan) McNabb is certainly one of the premiere quarterbacks of the league. Their (offensive) line protects him." –Coach McDaniels

"It is going to be an electric atmosphere, I know that. It is going to be very hyped, but at the end of the day, once the whistle is blown on that first kickoff, after that first hit its football. I have to dial in, me and my teammates have to dial in. This is not just about me going back home. I know that is the story that you guys are going to write up, but this is about the Denver Broncos going in to Philadelphia, a tough place to play against a very good football team. That is where our focus needs to be." -Brian Dawkins

Broncos need to get back the eye of the tiger they had in the first 6 games....

McNabb is the best deep ball passer in the NFL and if the Broncos can't get pressure up the middle on him, he's gonna wing the ball down the field.

Westbrook is the closest player to Marshal Faulk in the NFL today and he has to be contained.

As for the Broncos offense, they have to run the fricking ball, period. Orton is going to be pressured all day and the best way to counter that pressure is to run the ball successfully. I'd go "I" back on Philly and yes, try to get Hillis involved.

I'd also be willing to go single back with Moreno.

This will be a huge game for the Broncos in establishing the run game. They will either run the ball successfully or they will get Orton killed. McD has to decide which rout he wants to go.

Okay, so why wasn't this game flexed into the Sunday night spot?

There's no way on Earth Dallas vs. WSN warrants more attention, or means more to the teams involved, than this one does.

Explain please.

Denver has to bring a three-phase game again. The ST's haven't had a good return in a long time. IMO, it's hard to win consistently without a good kick return here and there. Basically, Denver hasn't been playing or coaching all that well. If they're gonna turn it around the time is now.

Didn't CBS use their option to keep it or something?

I am ****ting bricks, if Pitt wins and we lose it is out of our hands.

Can't flex an early game to the Sunday night spot. This was originally an early game that was flexed to a late game.

There are 2 things I am hoping for here...today!:

1) A win!

2) If we don't win, a firm protrayal of what the team, or better yet, WHOM the team does not need for next season. My guesses thus far include some previously named Olineman and Orton.

Bradford should be there at the Chicago pick, he needs to sit and learn a year or two but I think he's the only QB in the draft that could go toe to toe with Rivers.

Inactives

Tom Brandstater, Eddie Royal, Ty Law, LaMont Jordan, Vernon Fox, Spencer Larsen, Seth Olsen and Chris Baker will not dress out. Brandstater is the team’s emergency third quarterback.

To be fair, if Pitt wins today, the next game we lose ends our season, so you couldn't be more right.

The league should look at that not flexing early games thing in the offseason. I had forgotton that it originally was an early game, so that's on me.

I had a weird dream yesterday that Prater would kick a 68 yard field goal.
