Default Better WC Weekend Matchup: Patriots or Bengals?

Not to get too far ahead of ourselves we still have to get 2 or 3 wins before we're in but who is the better matchup?

I realise the Pats secondary is suspect but they're a very experienced playoff team on offense. Their rushing attack is weak and we have the guys to shut down Moss and contain Welker.

Cincinatti is a bit of a wild card to me (no pun intended). Their play has been erratic and even in their wins of late they've not played as convincingly as they did against their division rivals. With the demise of the Steelers and the Ravens are they really as good as everyone thought earlier in the season? I don't know nearly as much about them but they seem to be the more well balanced team offensively. Defensively I just don't know where they're at. They're not showing the same dominance since Odom went down for the season.

Cincinatti they don't know us as well. They played us before we even knew ourselves. I still fear the Pats schemes and their desire for vengeance in Foxboro.

My choice: Cincinatti

NE, they are a weak team this year with a poor rushing game. cincy has strong rushing team.

I like either one.

Patriots have more playoff experience and in winter and at home they are still a tough team to beat. They are probably the weaker team of the two and their run game is not as good which will hurt them playing in cold.

Cincinnati has no significant playoff experience to draw on and has slowed down a bit lately, but they have a good run game and a very good defense which traditionally is what you need to win in the playoffs.

My pick would be Cincy because we match up very well against their power based run game and their lack of playoff experience can be exploited.

What if New England doesn't even win their division? It could happen again.

I want the Bengels, that way I can get tickets and go to the game, close to us in Toronto. They match up well against either team.

NE, Miami, Jets or Bengals are all possible wins for our Broncos if we get in. Exciting!

I'd like the Jets if they took it. Nolan would have a lot of sending the guys after Sanchez.

Pats.

1. They are the weaker of the two teams

2. We have shown a proclivity for beating in recent years

3. Name an attribute... pass rush, rushing the ball, etc, etc, and the Bengals are probably doing it better than the Pats.

I would say the only thing NE has going for it is play off experience. Otherwise, they are ripe for a one and done this year - again, providing they even make the playoffs.

Oh, it's not just him that I despise on that team, far from it.

You name it: the criminal Tank Johnson, the conceited Palmer, Rey Maulauagauahgaa, the overrated "genius" Marvin Lewis, the twin tailback aholes they have now, the Reds, the city itself...I can't stand any of them.

*edited Henry out of the rant due to recent events

Yea, you won't get any argument from me.

Adding LJ was just icing on the cake.

I'll take the pats......

think back to all the unforced errors the Bungholes made in the opener. 11 dropped passes...botched hold on a FG...the tipped ball.
