Right tackle Ryan Harris will not play again this season for the Broncos.
Harris dislocated his big toe on his right foot Nov. 1 at Baltimore and re-injured it in the first quarter of Sunday’s game at Kansas City, his first game back in the lineup.
Harris visited a sports medicine specialist in Vail on Tuesday and was told he would not be able to play again this season, even if the Broncos make the playoffs.
Harris was replaced for five games and then again on Sunday by Tyler Polumbus, a graduate of Cherry Creek High and University of Colorado.
Harris, a third-round pick in 2007 out of Notre Dame, started all 16 games at right tackle for the Broncos last season, as well as the first seven games of 2009.

well, we've been without him for like 4 weeks now, so at least they are prepped. I dont really watch the line much (as i normally follow the ball), but as a unit they've held up

Polumbus started off pretty poorly but he seems to be improving. Then again the whole team is playing much better but I'm hoping its the former

Polumbus has filled in pretty well. Sucks to lose Harris but it won't derail the rest of the year.

yes it sucks. but it happens. and he'll be good to go for next year, since only time heals this injury but it won't cause permanent damage.

definitely glad we have some good depth though

everyone plays well against KC. This f ing sucks. We know how valuable Harris is to that line. Polumbus is not even close to what Harris gives us.

Everyone has key injuries this time of year. He is a good player, but OL is a strength, the Broncos can afford to take a hit there. Orton, Dumervil, Bailey, Marshall- these are players that cannot be lost.

Except for Clady

Polumbus played well against the G-men too. He's not as good as Harris but the drop off is not as severe as you are making it out to be.

We'll know more on Mathis/Freeney come Wednesday's post-practice report. As of now, Polian doesn't seem to think it's that big of a deal. If he does play, there's no way he could be anywhere near 100% with a quad slowing him down.
