  • M.Berger punts 57 yards to NYG 23, Center-L.Paxton. D.Hixon to NYG 37 for 14 yards (S.Larsen). 43 net
  • M.Berger punts 51 yards to NYG 8, Center-L.Paxton. D.Hixon to NYG 14 for 6 yards (D.Bruton). 45 net, inside 20

Bruton played a great game covering the punts.

Maybe he really did just need to shake the rust off a bit.

Still I'm going to wait to make sure this is a real trend after the stinkers he's laid the last 3 weeks.

Seems like he's punted well the last couple of games, and while I don't get to into tracking punter stats, supposedly our net returns allowed had improved since signing him.

Good to see.

Our special teams were great all night.

Him and Berger were a fine match. Berger had at least 3 quality punts and put the ball near the sideline where Bruton came barrelling down. With no missed field goals and TB galore, ST had its finist game.

GIVE HIM BACK HIS SNICKERS BARS!

Was good to not see him suck. That said I'd still rather have Kern who's punting literally like an all-pro for the Titans right now. (Kern also set punting records for us last year). I think 6 games was just way too soon to give up on a young talent.

kern on the last punt of the night outkicked his coverage, glenn martinez brought it back 15 yards.

Re-watching the KC game now.

Aside from the atrocity of Hillis not getting first team reps... I noticed that Berger had another nice game.

Props to him.

Graham had a great game...

Introduced my girlfriend to this team (and football) during the Cowboys game in Week 3....It's a lot of fun to explain the game and give background on the players every week....she's fallen in love with the usuals (Marshall, Royal, Champ) but her two favorite players ended up being Graham and DJ Williams...really weird

its also really weird that she is uber pissed off about Hillis not getting first team reps

I hated on Berger those first few weeks, so I have to give him his props now. He is playing much better now. I was impressed with his punting and I love his luck/skill of not getting these close ones blocked.

Berger has been a great actor havn't we gotten two or three roughing the kicker penalties, one of the announcers commented on how long he keeps his leg out during his kicks for the extra chance.

Thats one thing I noticed too. He also has a slow get off on the punt, so greater chance to get blocked, but also greater chance to get those drive saving roughing penalties. Double edged sword I guess.

Seems like Berger has really helped Prater too. Since signing the Whopper, Prater has been money on FGs and long on kickoffs.

Random note on watching again... great day by our secondary! Hill's INT was a great catch. Big day for those guys.

The best player for our secondary was Bobby Wade who couldn't catch a disease in a lepper colony.
