Default harris will be back week 13

A limited participant in Tuesday’s session, Ryan Harris (toe) did not participate in Wednesday’s practice. He is listed as out for the Thanksgiving night contest.

McDaniels said that Harris performed well during Tuesday’s workout, but will not return largely because of the abbreviated week of preparation.

“I don’t think this is the kind of week that you’re bringing a player off of a fairly significant injury at his position without a whole lot of live practice reps and practice periods and day after day after day for him to get confidence in that thing,” McDaniels said. “I don’t think that this is a great time or a great week to go ahead and do that.”

hes capable of playing, but they arent gonna throw him to the wolves on a short week.

Sounds like it's a combination of yeah, it being a short week but also going against some top Dlinemen and you don't want to wreck his confidence.

Will be nice to have a long week of prep for KC and he can get some extra work in. I like the plan.

Mimicking the voice of reason on this board...

"OOOOOOHHHHH thank god, that's the only reason we've lost four straight!"

When you look at the slide TOP is a huge issue, having an anchor to the line return is a HUGE benefit.

And its better than the other football genius saying that if we still had our average punter Kern we would be undefeated.

While losing Harris hurts, it has been far from a crippling injury. More so, our offense just lacks any type of explosive nature. We have playmakers on the edge that aren't getting the ball and defenses don't respect our pass first approach which lacks the ability to stretch the field.

Unfortunately our offenses' futility has fallen on top of our defense which is forced to play 40 mpg. That's tough for any unit to compete against.

Hopefully Harris coming back rights the ship but it won't change the fact that our units have been exposed with serious flaws and poor coaching. Nothing can overcome that even if we do get healthier.
