Unless this is some kind of smoke screen, I believe simms will start this sunday. I have hard time thinking that Orton with no reps will be ready to play.

I don't know how any athlete would play on torn ligaments in their ankles...that's stupid

So he had his MRI and it showed he has torn ligaments? I didn't see anywhere in that article where they got their source on that. And to what degree is his tear? Man, our defense better smack Rivers around pretty good.

I seriously doubt it is as serious as they are making it sound. Worst case it would be a grade 2 sprain which would mean there might be a partial tear. If it was an actual tear or grade 3 sprain there is no way he would have been pacing the sidelines after the half... I don't care how much he wanted to kill Simms for losing his game.

A sprain is a stretched or torn ligament. It just depends on how badly torn the ligament.

I wouldn't play him even if he says he's feeling good enough to play.
The guy is not mobile as it is, let alone playing with a bummed ankle and the risk of doing further damage...

It's nothing that some skanks and liquor can't cure.

Get well quick, Kyle.

That was Burger Bill using a little literary license at the start of an article. No one has announced Torn ligaments to anyone, and knowing Josh they are not about to start.

A second degree sprain which I expect this is from Kyles description, involves some tearing and fraying, but not fully torn ligament.

If it was a third degree sprained ankle, then he isn't starting this week. Had one of those thirty years ago and no way one could have played anything a week later.

Kyle mentions it wasn't the same leg as last year .. good news. ... also that is isn't as bad ...good news as well ... and that is wont effect his ability to push off like last year which screwed up his passing game.

The thing is if he cant play, either Simms better turn into Johnny Unitas this week or its going to get ugly....

Also of concern mention that Marshall sat out yesterday with a neck .. :-\ trust that was just to let him rest up a day and get loosened up in the training room. If Simms is starting he and Marshall need as many reps as possible together.

True or not, he still didn't practice yesterday. Not looking good.

With Simms we have 0 chance of even competing in this game.

FWIW, on SportsCenter this morning they did mention a tear of some sort, BUT that he could play since it's not the ankle that he needs to plant and throw off of.

He may have gotten a shot. They said during the game that he may come back & were just waiting for the shot to kick in.

Whoever it is, I think Chuggers will blitz the hell out of them. One legged KO, or deer in headlights Simms. I wonder if there's any screen passes in McD's playbook.
