Default Adam Schefter Reports Gruden deal long term with ESPN

So take Gruden out of the Mike Shanahan-Mike Holmgren-Bill Cowher group of coaches. Only place Gruden going in 2010 is back to booth.

Like MNF?

It's staying that way.

Jon Gruden has agreed to an exclusive multi-year agreement with ESPN, committing broadcast, not coach.

And thus ensuring that I hear the term "this guy" during MNF at least 4,984,287 more times.

Gruden is going to be the new Madden. He's already started to get the belly.

I like him too, but good grief, everything he mentions is a "game changer" everything he mentions is earth-shattering.

He's a good color guy, but he needs to settle down a bit ...

He's an intense guy that's for sure, but yeah the earth-shattering stuff needs to stop.

He's definitely better to listen to than Billick was yesterday.

Look, Gruden isn't Howard C. or anything, but after the past few morons they trotted out there, he sounds brilliant.
