Worst coach on our team. I was extremely skeptical when we brought him in, but I was reserving judgment until after a few games because I liked the rest of the staff and I trusted McDaniels on those other hirings. No more. He's horrible. Our ST are regularly making mental mistakes and are ill-prepared in a variety of circumstances. And I'm not just talking about the garbage TD. It's been like that all year.

Agree, but I also think the players need to be more aware on that fake. But certainly the coaching deserves most of the blame. That play was a killer.

How do you give up a ST TDS when they showed their hand , you had a timeout to prepare for it and they scored on 4th and 20

He won't be back next year. Not sure if we can do anything this year but if we could he should be fired now

Agreed, too late for that. I don't think it is realistic to fire him now. Who would we replace him with? We'll just have to wait till the off-season.

The way Josh has been handling sub-par performances, he might demote Simms this week.

Since this is a Special teams thread, it's kinda scary when you think about the SD game a few weeks ago, if it wasn't for the kick returns by Royal...I don't think we win that one. So we could be looking at a 4 game slide right now.

Why even bring this up? You have no clue how the game would have played out. We won it, enough.

That said, we suck now and we're done.

Why even have anything other than regular defense in there after they showed their hand? I couldn't believe it! Yeah, they could have made a FG against us, but really, how many blocked FGs are there? Giving them 3 points and defending against the fake was WAY more important at that point. That one's all on McDaniels.

FYI during the Patriots fiasco where our ST kept Brady on the field on three fourth downs in a row, if you read McDaniels' lips he says something to the effect "If I see that one more time you're ****ing out of a job!"

So we know this has come up before. Just sayin'.

That's the point... McD needs to to fire the coach responsible for the ST failures. That being the ST coach.

If I was the coach I would have fired the guy on the spot after that frigging punter-pass debacle, took his headset, and told him to catch his own ride home. And then I would have told Simms to go catch up with his sorry ass and see if he could catch a ride.

Are you serious? Do you actually think he said that?

I need to find a clip of that. If McD really said that I'm going to laugh my ass off.
