Adopt-a-Bronco:
Spencer Larsen
Default Wanted: Punter, ST coordinator, Backup QB, 2nd half D Coordinator

If any of you know anyone who could possibly run a ST teams unit at the pro level, or maybe just someone with acceptable use of their eyes, please ask them to write to the Denver Broncos and apply for the special teams coach position.

I can't believe Priefer is so stupid he didn't figure out that fake after they showed it to him twice and gave him a timeout to get his head out of his ass.

We also need a punter who can kick the ball out of bounds more than 15 yards down field, so if you anyone with legs, please have them write to the address above.

The less said about Chris Simms the better, the man is clearly a spleenless piece of ****, so if you know anyone who has experience with quarterbacking a flag football team or maybe a local beer league team, please ask them to mail a resume to the address above.

Nolan is clearly an alcoholic or something, he has been excellent in the first half and I guess he gets into the gin or something during halftime, because his unit has been falling apart in the 2nd half. If you know of someone who doesn't have an alcohol addiction, please have them write an application and cover letter to become the new 2nd half defensive coordinator.

Thank you for cooperation.

No reason to get down on Nolan just yet. I think he's earned a little leeway, especially if you consider that fake-FG/Punt TD a Special Teams score.

Chris Simms sucked, their fake FG caught us with our Pants down, Bucky fumbled the ball and our Punter sucks. The Redskins played a good game.

I'm pissed as hell, but I'm nowhere near ready to condemn Mike Nolan.

He is a genious in the first half, but in the last 3 games his defense has been humiliated in the 2nd half.

When Jason Campbell humiliates your defense, you need something to change, that is a fact.

Orton's doing fine ... 11 TDs, 4 INTs ... he did his part today. and last week is an aberration compared to the rest of the season.

Some are completely way too emotional. How do you expect a defense to hold up when the offense has the ball for roughly 7:00 out of 30:00 in the second half. The D gave the ball back to the offense after stopping the Redskins on the first series of the 2nd half.

ANY DEFENSE will wear down, especially on a short week when they have the ball nearly four times the amount you do.

So how long do we think our 2nd half defense is fine because they were good the first 6 weeks?

He hit two wide open touchdowns and overthrew another one.

The WR's gave Orton 15 yds to fit the ball into and he still managed to blow one of those throws.

3rd quarter drives:

Washington - 2:05
Denver - 3:52

So at this point our defense shouldn't be gassed, they just had halftime and the Skins managed a 2 minute drives and then they got time off.

Washington - 4:32
Denver - 1:36

So far the Skins have had the ball for about 6 minutes, which is just as long as they had it on their first drive of the game, and the defense have had 2 breaks, so they should still not be gassed.

Washington 7:15
Oh dear. To me that looks like the reason the defense got gassed was because they couldn't stop the Skins, not the other way around. The defense couldn't have been gassed from the first half since the time of possession was tied.

I don't blame the defense at all. They had their stops. On some we just didn't finish. We've had guys bottled up and then they squirt out. It comes with the growing pains. They were on the field a lot today. Marshall's big scores gave the defense no rest and Simms exacerbated the problem.

The receiver was held. How on Earth did you miss that? You must have been one of the refs. In that case, I hate you.

What we also need is more toughness - physically and mentally. This is team is getting physically manhandled on both sides of the ball. We need to invest heavily in the offensive and defensive lines this offseason. We will not beat out San Diego for the division because they are still simply better than we are. Today was a disgrace!

defense has been fine. Once in a while the offense has to be able to put together a few sustained drives to give the d a chance to regroup and rest

You forgot starting QB. Biggest need on this team and has been since day 1 of McD's era.

How long are you going to think we have a bad 2nd half defense simply cuz we had 3 bad games?

Royal was also running too slow because he was kinda twisted around looking back for the ball. Had he just run the route like normal that's probably another touchdown.

It's funny, Orton has been catching hell for not throwing the ball deep this year, then when he does, he is 2 for 3 of passes over 40 yards today, but he was just lucky and sucks before he missed Royal. All this when Washington had the best pass defense coming into this game in the NFL.

Wow, just wow.

Just face it, there are some people that hate Orton so much, they will blame him for every loss, even the ones he doesn't play in or finish. I thought Orton was playing his best game until he went out.
