These guys have a point. It does seem that every time Cutler gets under the lights in a big game he folds up like a Walmart tent.
http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com...es-bears-loss/ They give him the nickname: Prime Time. ![]() |

All of this criticism of Cutler is just that, criticism. But did you know that he has a rocket arm? Bet you didn't know that.

I saw Frown Cannon on Deadspin. Same guy who refers to Philip Rivers as Marmalard.

i've liked the Marmalard name for Rivers since i first saw it last year. not sure how many average fans understand the reference, but i think it's a good one. if the same guy came up with Frown Cannon for Cutler, then he's 2 for 2. which is more good nicknames than that asshat Chris Berman has come up with on ESPN in the last 20 years.

I always liked "Mopey." Made him sound like one of the seven dwarfs.

The funny thing is I don't think he has a stronger arm than Elway. Last year he said he had a better arm than Farve, a few hours before Farve lofted a gorgeous bomb over Dre Bly in overtime. He has a good arm for those intermediate routes (if he is not throwing picks), but his deep ball is lacking.

I call him "the Matador" which is what he looks like when he tries to tackle the DB downfield after lofting up a surefire pick six.

Being that its the name of his hometown, and he gives away the ball like he is one at a charity event, I nominate the following nickname...
