Bud Adams plans to "evaluate" coach Jeff Fisher - The Orange Mane

NFL Network's Steve Wyche reports that Titans owner Bud Adams plans to "evaluate" coach Jeff Fisher's job status after the season.

Wyche says he's heard this "time and time again" from owners that plan to make a head-coaching change. Fisher is in his 16th season with the Titans/Oilers franchise. His record overall is 128-108 with six playoff trips.

Like with Shanny & Denver a change may be the best for Fisher. Buffalo, Washinsnyder, Carolina, Dallas all could be in the running for Fisher.

Fisher has been avg to good but there so long its time for a change.

Having said that he probably still makes for a good head coach somewhere. Shannahan as well. I doubt we see them team up though like people suggest. Just because people friends doesn't mean they want to work for one another.

Fisher may take a yr off or so just like a lot of coaches do after doing it for 10 plus yrs.

Do a little TV, take it easy, and wait for some guy to get fired. Every yr there are 4-5 openings it seems.

Fisher I doubt coaches just as a coordinator. After that many yrs being the head guy I don't see it.

Don't think what McDaniels has done for Denver is lost on Bud Adams.

I've always like Fisher... It's been a tough season but he's conistantly had good teams over the years. I think his hand was forced with VY a few years ago and it never panned out... Had he drafted JC then we might be looking at a differnt team now...

Their problems go well beyond Haynesworth. One guy doesn't even begin to cause a precipitous fall like they've had.

I don't think it is lost on any owner for that matter. That and what Nolan did with the D. I'd have to say he's raising the bar pretty damn high in the HC fraternity. The noun "Josh McDaniels" is quickly being added to the owners' vocabulary.

If we continue on and have a great season I wonder how many times we're going to hear.... "We need a Josh McDaniels as our next head coach" in the off season.

Yep, everyone will be looking for "the next Josh McDaniels". Something tells me they're going to have to settle for a very poor man's version. If the Cowboys finish well somebody will probably give Jason Garrett a shot unless Jones officially picks him to succeed Phillips. He was supposed to be Josh McDaniels! Didn't quite work out that way.

Not with Shanny, Cowher, and Holmgren out there, and then others will snap up Fisher and Fox quickly if they are fired too. "The next Josh McDaniels" is going to be the #6 head coaching candidate at least this offseason.

dont think so, those guys require far too much cash, 7-10mil a year, and new coaches are showing great results for 2-4mil a year.

Titans got old at QB, with no options beyond Collins on the roster. Offensive line seems to be missing a beat, Lendale White seems to have lost quite a bit of power with his weight loss. Defensively their d Line would have problems even with Haynesworth there. No pressure, and they dont get off blocks. They have old players at key spots, (DE, CB AND LB) and their safeties are as bad in coverage as Denver's were last season. Thats what I see when I watch the titans.
