Default chargers vs chiefs

who you think wins this?

chiefs always play the chargers very well for some reason, they won @ washington and took dallas to overtime last 2 games, so they arent completely inept. chiefs have a real chance, but its hard to pick them to win against the chargers, if tehy lose this they are essentially out of the playoff picture.

I got free tickets to this game and will be taking my son. We will be rooting for the chiefs. Put the chargers one more game behind the broncos.

The Chargers are soft.

I'm not saying the Chiefs are gonna win but...it will be a close game.

The Chiefs lost to the Chargers twice by a combined 2 points last year.

But I'm sure you knew that already.

Chief fans hate Herm but the man always knew how to give the Chargers a hard time, even with crap teams.

Herm's gone so my feeling is that the Chargers cruise to a victory in this one. Haley is quite possibly worse than Norv but we'll see if Norv can set the bar even lower tomorrow.

Chiefs win 27-24

Sean Ryan (might not have heard of him, decent receiving option that has 2 tds so far and the Chargers seem seceptable to passes to the tight end)and Dwayne Bowe have good games and LJ has a good game against a under performing front seven for SD that is sorely missing Jamaal Williams.

Might not seem like it, but this is actually a pretty important game for us. We win and we go into the bye with a win streak with two winnable games after the bye before we play Pittsburg at Arrowhead.

Lose (especially if said loss is by more than 8 or nine points)and it shows we havent made as much progress as I hope we have. IMHO of course.

OMG, someone on my home board actually started a friggin "playoffs are still possible" thread!

I enjoy optimism as much as the next guy, but damn at what point is it considered dementia?

I guess it is no different than if someone here started a 6-0 at the bye topic before the year started huh?

Anything can happen I guess.

The only reason I'm not picking the Chiefs for an upset here is because I don't think they can generate the same pressure on Rivers that we managed to get, and that's the only way to beat the Chargers. Everything else could easily be in the Chiefs' favour.

I'm going to be rooting hardcore for the Chiefs to win. A win there gives us a 4 game lead in the division... A FOUR ****ING GAME LEAD. Not to mention the Chargers will have 2 division losses at that point. On top of which we already can only tie or own the tiebreaker between SD and us for head to head.

I'm taking KC in this one. We always play the Chargers well because we match up well against them. Hali always plays well against them cause their OL sucks. I could see LJ going off on that soft front 7.

KC lost to SD by a combined 2 points last year with a less talented team and a HC who can't figure out how to manage a game. SD got worse this year and KC is slightly better.

KC by 3 IMO

Chargers by 10-15 points.
Don't let the Chiefs last week win confuse you, they are a very bad team at the moment. The O-line is weak and can't protect, LJ is a shadow of the was-out runner he was a year ago and the WRs drops ball consistently.
The defense is playing better, but with holes all over and a bad secondary vs. Rivers you are in for a long game.
Failey is still learning how to be a HC and making plenty of mistakes along the way.

Norv's led Chargers could always beat weak opposition, and I expect them to do so today.

I'm picking the Chefs but mainly b/c there are about 7 or 8 road teams this weekend that could likely win and the chances of that are minimal... I usually don't like picking more than 3 road teams per week, so I took the Chefs (who are getting better each week) rather than the Chargers who seem to be imploding.

I can't see the Chiefs winning two in a row. The Redskins are really, really bad. The Chargers aren't that bad. The Chiefs may WANT to exploit that run defense, but the offensive line has to actually open holes for Larry. That has been a very difficult task this year. With a pass defense that includes Cromartie, I can't see their $63 million dollar man having a good day. While I would love to see the Chargers lose today, it 'aint happenin...

If the Chargers lost this game it will make for a really long season for Norv Turner and AJ Smith. Not sure ownership could put up with a total implosion.

It could happen though Chargers oline playing that poorly. In fact I don't think one player on the charger oline would start on Denvers oline. It really is devoid of talent right now.

On that first series looks like Chiefs will do what Denver did. Blitz right up the gut in those gaps to either side of center.

If Chargers don't get better stopping that eventually Rivers will get injured. You just can't have inside pressure and expect to have a good offense.
