Where are Blue Flame & So Cal Bronco?

When is "long enough" before we can expect our ''example setting" mods to act like Bronco fans again.

Naw, leave them alone for a while. I hate to have people do something they dont want to do. When SoCal does start posting on football again I want it to be his old quality self. Not this civil war stuff.

SoCal said he "hated what had been done to the team," and left as soon as the team started winning. Hey, it's free country.

He was a great poster before his melt-down. But, he made up his mind that he was going to hate this new Broncos team and like Blueflame, no amount of logic was going to change his mind.

So, he simply quit posting.

Whatever works for people.

Popps, you know damn well that these people all of a sudden developed a life that keeps them from posting on this board.

With all the losing apologists proclaiming faux victories, he's probably better off staying away for a while.

Very true. He was a good poster until his love affair with Cutler went bad.

Where ever the missing posters are, I hope that they are able to enjoy this season away from the board. It'd be a real shame if any of us Bronco fans were to look back in a few years and realize that we were unable or unwilling to enjoy such a potentially rewarding season. This team will probably never have another rise from the (media driven) ashes like this again.

This was supposed to be such a horrible year and right now we are looking at a probable Coach of the yr, very possible DPOY and ROY (Sanchez is fail now), and probably close to 10 probowlers.

It was true. Once again, go back and look at the Bowlen press conference transcript that I posted numerous times and reconcile that with what happened.

That might make a good bye week thread. Predict the end of season awards. I don't see 10 Pro Bowlers since this is a "team concept" organization but it might be interesting to see what people think.

Right now you have to throw in Kyle Orton it the ring for OPOY and maybe MVP

Their optimism is indeed being vindicated. But you're right, it is a faux victory in that we all predicted roughly the same season records, and nobody expected this kind of dominance. Even montrose could not have predicted this utter dominance in every aspect of all three phases.

Popps has been less of a sore winner than I was sure he would be, but he still uses nonsense conclusory phrasing like, "we tried to talk logic to him." Just as reasonable as his last poll:

a) Do you still love the Broncos and think they're going on the right direction?
. . or
b) Have you given up on the team and no longer wish they do well?

I posted leave them alone to get over the trauma. Not over the Broncos but over what happened here.

Problem is if they show up we all know what would happen. Bumps of all comments would be done and a lot of I told you so's. I think it could get ugly quick.

I just actually read this poll ... it's so foolish, insulting and unnecessary. Seriously, you're a real d!ck lately. Maybe stop saying hostile things to people you later have to follow up with, "I didn't mean that, just joshin' ya." You're way past the passive-aggressive critical mass there, Mr. Yoakum.

I think the difference came in the tone and attitude people expressed. Given the changes, how terrible our defense was last year, etc. you're right: most of us predicted sub .500 records. Even now it seems like a sensible prediction (who the hell could have seen this defense coming?).

Some people, though, seemed to lose their minds and took the negativity to a level they should have felt embarrassed about even if the team had sucked this year. It crossed the line from "criticism/opinion" to "unrestrained hatred."

So, no, there aren't a whole lot of people here who can say "I told you we'd be one of the top teams in the NFL this year," but there are a lot who deserve having some of their words shoved back at them.

Is this poll insulting? Maybe, but the over-the-top hatred I saw this offseason deserves to be called out. If you're going to say the things they did, you better have thick enough skin to take some ribbing when you turn out to be completely wrong.
