![]() Jeff Fisher just took off his jacket and he had on a Colts jersey and said, "I just wanted to feel like a winner!" http://twitpic.com/m9cnn Fisher was at Lipscomb’s Allen Arena to introduce former Indianapolis Colts coach Tony Dungy to those gathered for an engagement to benefit Rocketown. Fisher stepped to the podium in a suit and tie, then removed his coat, turned around and unbuttoned his shirt to reveal a blue and white No. 18 Peyton Manning Indianapolis Colts jersey before introducing Dungy. http://nashvillecitypaper.com/conten...ntroduce-dungy |

Been a tough year. Lost a good friend, now has an 0-6 team...not easy.

Norv Turner tried to get on the stage wearing his Denver alternate, but security clubbed him to the ground saying "this area is for NFL coaches only, sir!"
In all seriousness, props to Fisher for having a sense of humor. |

Oh My Gosh! I think he should try to hide their 0-6 record. I mean no one is talking about it, now with this stunt, everyone knows they are winless and have no hope for the year. Are we so devoid of any sense of humor (even oh-fer gallows humor) that this is what gets Fisher fired?
The McNair murder seems to be hanging over the whole team. That and not Fisher's coaching is the problem. |

Done for Dungy. I don't think it's a big deal.

I think it's funny as hell, but if I was a player in his 0-6 locker room (or the owner of the franchise), I might not share the same sense of humor that outsiders might see in this. It only makes it worse that they play in the same division as the Colts. |

Absolutely
And I just see this as Fisher honoring his friend and calling him a winner. Yeah the Titans might be pissed, but the effort that team put on the field on Sunday, Fisher probably doesn't care. Last edited by gunns; 10-20-2009 at 06:37 PM.. |

A few hours after Jeff Fisher donned an Indianapolis Colts jersey at a fundraiser for Nashville’s Rocketown, the Titans coach apologized for it during his weekly radio show on Tuesday night.
Fisher appeared during the event at Lipscomb University along with former Colts coach Tony Dungy and country music star Martina McBride, among others. As Fisher introduced Dungy, he removed his jacket and dress shirt to reveal a blue Peyton Manning jersey underneath. Fisher stepped back up to the microphone and said, “I just wanted to feel like a winner,” drawing laughter and applause from the crowd of about 2,500. The Titans are 0–6, including a loss to the Colts (31–9) and last week's debacle against the Patriots (59–0). Later, during his weekly radio show on 103.3-FM, Fisher apologized after a caller questioned him about wearing the jersey. “It was for a very, very worthwhile cause, charity,” Fisher said. “I was introducing Tony, just having fun with it and I really apologize if I offended anybody, but if you’re offended over the nature of that type of thing, then I think you need to rethink things. “This is a very worthwhile and needy benefit and I was honored to be there. … I’m sorry if I offended anybody but if I had to do it again, I would do it again.” Fisher apologized again later when asked about the jersey during his weekly television show on WKRN-2. http://blogs.tennessean.com/titans/2...-colts-jersey/ Jeff should be looking over his shoulder now. He **** up big time! 10 year rule with coaches, after that it's been too long in one place. |

I was thinkng Jeff was going to be in trouble a few weeks ago. With the McDaniels success and the coaches last year pumping life into tired franchises, along with the slow start the Titans had. But now @ 0-6 and pulling this stunt. Jeff Fisher is toast after the season. |

Fisher deserves better than what the Titans are giving him, I've always thought he was a good coach and classy guy. Him as Shanny's DC is a dream team! Just let them go to a team that never plays the Broncos.
