ps last 5 minutes or whateverhe talks about his coffee, this interview was more of an endorsement, but still cool to see rod smith loves this team so much. in the brandon marshall post game interview, rod was in thelocker room and went up and like hugged brandon mid-interview. brandon was like this is my mentor right here!

He needs to put in that application. If he could take Dukes' job, NFL Network's credibility improves tenfold.

Seems like Rod should come on board as maybe a special teams asst coach? Maybe WR asst coach. Then probably move up from there. I think he would make an excellent coach.

I just love this guy. I feel fortunate getting numerous chances to meet and talk to Rod Smith.

If Rod wanted to coach he'd probably already be a member of the staff.

Maybe in a few years after enjoying retired life and giving some personal interests a shot he'll be up for returning in a coaching role, but so far he's doing a whole lot of great work with Brandon as it is without a title or paycheck.

It'd be great to see him work with Royal though, Rod could probably help take his game to the next level as well.

Rod will never make it through an interview to be a broadcaster. He is way too bias!

That said, get this guy on the payroll doing something!
