Default My Mancrush on McD

I liked the hire of McDaniels from the get go. I thought that with this offense he would be a perfect fit. Then the Cutler fiasco happened and that made me a little nervous. The draft came and went and since I know next to nothing about drafts, I just listened to what most had to say here. Then the preseason started and things didn't look so great; they didn't look horrible, but they didn't look great.

I chose for the most part to keep quiet and see how the season played out. I have to say, I didn't even imagine it being this good. I also struggled with whose jersey to buy, since my Cutler jersey was now useless. After watching yesterdays game and the emotion and coaching shots that they have given of McDaniels over this season, my next jersey is going to be a grey hoodie. I love this guy! He has seemed to breathe new life into this team. Call me a koolaid drinker or whatever else you want to, but hiring McD was the best move of the offseason.

Yeah, I think there's a lot of us who are pretty happy with 5-0, it sure seems to have shut up the critics!.

Can anyone AT THE GAME tell me what they were chanting when McD went to the stands to celebrate??!?

Living in Pitt, I've already take a HEAP of **** during the off-season, so it was a GREAT moment for me! Almost brought a tear to my eye!

I don't even begin to know what to say...

This is 10X better than anything I thought was possible.

Like I said in my "Crow Thread" from last week. My hats' off to the coach.

I consider myself to be a pretty capable human being. There isn't a snowballs chance in hell that I could do what he does... and he's only 34.

It just feels like something very special is happening here.

I love the video clip of McDaniels pumping hisd fist to the crowd. All the BS he had to endure during the offseason being lifted off his shoulders. I love the mans emotion. Did you see him get all over the special teams coach when they screwed up with the roughing and offsides. I thought he was going to pull a Tom Cable on him.

I have a bit of a girl crush on the man myself. I really like the footage of one of the players bear hugging him and lifting him off his feet. At any rate, I concur. I dont' expect perfection, but I am enjoying the season and wish our coach and team well (even if I occasionally grumble or say stupid stuff in the heat of the moment). Today just rocks.

Fixed it. Amazing isn't it?...33 years old, he's a few months younger than me. I couldn't imagine how tough it would be to run this team at my age. Great job Josh!

After watching the guy mic'd up last game and the shot of him chomping on his ST Coach's arse, and of course the results, this dude coaches beyond his years and reminds me of an early parcells or cowher in intensity. He's no impostor, the emotion and expertise is very real. Props to the Bronco organization for pulling this guy from the pack.

First of all, 5'8" is not midget and second that's still taller than I am. Makes him a good height for the things I would want him for.

Besides if he was really a mdiget he would be perfect for AK's midget porn business.

Amazing is right.... I think the tough part is getting the respect from the veteran players at that age. My hats off to guys like Bailey and Dawkins for laying it all out on the line for him.....

That is the reason they say change is good. How all did people react when shanny was let go. Even if shanny was here and we were 5-0 we not have felt this good that we are feeling now, because this team is playing for each other now, the coach is giving new looks every week and when at the end of game a coach gets that excited, it could infect other in a good way, at this point he is the coach of the year and i want this team do well rest of the way, just because this team on the whole deserves good things and josh deserves coach of the year. It is early, but i pray for them all.

Falconer, great take. McDaniels is the best pick up in years for this team.
