congrats to Kyle on his first 300 yard game as a Bronco.
35 of 48 for 330 yards. 10 catches by Royal 8 catches by Brandon 6 catches for Gaffney 4 for Scheffler and Moreno 3 for Graham oddly, it looks like NE opted to take Stokley out of the game. he finished with 0 catches. ![]() Last edited by Gort; 10-11-2009 at 05:30 PM.. |

This was also Orton's first game without the glove. Dude looked very accurate and of course that INT was just a hail Mary.

Orton ended Clady's streak. Other than that, it was a good day.

Hmm...with the game on the line, one QB led his team down the field and set them up for the game winning score. It wasn't Tom Brady. Orton looked great. Very good decisions, accurate passes, the INT was meaningless. He executed the game plan to a "T".

The NFL can take that INT and shove it where the sun don't shine. I can't believe that actually counts in his stats (however if a Hail Mary does work, then it shoulc count
). |

I'm one of the fans that has to eat my helping of crow. I always thought that Orton was just a game manager and if the running game was shut down there was no way Orton could carry the offense...
I'm going have to take another huge serving if he does this in the playoffs. |

All I know is Jay Cutler never stepped up and had a game against a good team like Orton just had in a win down by 10 pts. Closest thing was the Cleveland game last year and they were not a good team. Jay always puked against good teams. I'll have a shot of JD on you KYLE.

Only the Bears can have a bye week and get embarrassed this bad.
Orton looks like a pro bowl QB Benson rushes for over 100 for the first time in 40 games against Balitimore. Sweet weekend. Now for the Rockies. |

I'm just relieved that Royal is getting back into the swing of things.
I had 3 different people comment to me during the game via text message some variation of the following: "Wow, Orton is a legitimate NFL QB." |

Orton did have the one sack where I remember I was yelling get rid of it.
It's all good though we aren't in his shoes and he is doing well. You have to give him the benefit of the doubt that he would have if he though it was safe. Is it safe? |

I don't fault Orton on either. Especially the second one, he was protecting the ball to preserve the tie and get to OT. Turned out to be a good damn plan!

Orton played well today, his throws had more zip and accuracy and he seems to be putting the ball on the right side of his recievers now and not leading them into big hits.
He seems a lot more comfortable with the offense now than he did before and he does a good Brady impersonation in terms of spreading the ball around very well, not letting the defense get a read on where he wants to go. Nice to see Royal have a big game, he reached 100 catches today in only 20 games, that faster than all other players except Boldin and Reggie Bush. |

He was born in the summer of his 27th year
Comin' home to a place he'd never been before He left yesterday behind him, you might say he was born again You might say he found a key for every door When he first came to the mountains his life was far away On the road and hangin' by a song But the string's already broken and he doesn't really care It keeps changin' fast and it don't last for long But the Colorado rocky mountain high I've seen it rainin' fire in the sky The shadow from the starlight is softer than a lullabye Rocky mountain high He climbed cathedral mountains, he saw silver clouds below He saw everything as far as you can see And they say that he got crazy once and he tried to touch the sun And he lost a friend but kept his memory Now he walks in quiet solitude the forest and the streams Seeking grace in every step he takes His sight has turned inside himself to try and understand The serenity of a clear blue mountain lake And the Colorado rocky mountain high I've seen it rainin' fire in the sky You can talk to God and listen to the casual reply Rocky mountain high Now his life is full of wonder but his heart still knows some fear Of a simple thing he cannot comprehend Why they try to tear the mountains down to bring in a couple more More people, more scars upon the land And the Colorado rocky mountain high I've seen it rainin' fire in the sky I know he'd be a poorer man if he never saw an eagle fly Rocky mountain high It's Colorado rocky mountain high I've seen it rainin' fire in the sky Friends around the campfire and everybody's high Rocky mountain high |
