Default How Dez Bryant's Ineligibility Impacts His NFL Draft Status

In the thick of college football season, Oklahoma State's star WR Dez Bryant has been declared ineligible after violating NCAA Bylaw 10.1. He wasn't declared inelliglie for visiting Deion Sanders but for not being truthful about it... If he drops out of the top 10 should we take him? Or is he another Crabtree?

No, he won't drop out of the top 10. And if he did, we don't need him.

This won't effect his draft status

I think he is on the Broncos radar if they trade Marshall. Right now it looks as if Marshall and McDaniels are getting along and Broncos could resign Marshall . I personal would not mind drafting Bryant then Trade Marshall because Marshall will likely be real expensive to resign.

Dez will probably still be a top 10 pick...I think he is more explosive then Crabtree

This could affect him, I think he has to sever ties with Deion Sanders or this could affect him. I don't think any team wants to risk a Crabtree PR fiasco and this kid is obviously not too bright so I think they want to make sure he is not around anyone who could cause a difficult situation.

I agree it could affect him and if he's available late in the round, we should take him, he is a "beast" he goes after the football with a vengeance.
What's the deal with Deion Sanders and the special realtionships he forms with guys like Bryant and Crabtree?

I doubt it hurts his stock that much. He might fall a couple of spots but every NFL scout, GM, HC and any other prominent figure knows he is awesome.

The thing that makes Dez so appealing (besides being a great WR) is that he can take a hit and bounce right back up. Dude took a pounding last year and up to this point, has taken one this year as well.

He is a strong, bigger, faster version of BRandon Marshall with better hands.

I can guarantee he still goes top 10.

I like what Bryant brings to the field as a talented player, but honestly I would rather have Brandon Lafell.

Crabtree is not explosive at all. he does not have that next gear to get up to elite speed. he is a possession receiver. he doesn't have the speed to break big plays, and with his size he isn't that special. the only reason he was looked at as he was was due to playing in a gimmick college offense.

how does the QB that threw him the ball in college go undrafted and end up in canada while Crabtree is a top 10 pick?

marshall has a few inches and lbs on dez, and most definitely better open field elusiveness (better than anyone in the NFL). dez is f-ing ripped however and definitely stronger and probably durable than marshall. we dont need him, but if we had him it would be so, so sick.

The NFL needs to clamp down and Deion trying to steer athletes to Eugene Parker. That's whats going on here. I really believe Deion out for money and has a reason for what he is doing.
