QUICKLY:

* The Broncos are the only team in the NFL to start each of the last three seasons 2-0. Denver joins Baltimore, Indianapolis and the New York Jets as AFC squads with a perfect record after Week 2.
* Denver’s +26 scoring differential (39-13) is the third-best mark in the NFL. The club also is tied for second in the league in turnover ratio (+4), posting five takeaways and one giveaway.

OFFENSE:

* The Broncos’ offense is the only one in the NFL to not commit a turnover this season.
* QB Kyle Orton is 5-1 in his last six starts dating back to last year — Only the Colts’ Peyton Manning (6-0) has a better record among NFL starting QBs during that time. This season, Orton has thrown the second-most 25-yard completions (7) in the NFL and is the only AFC quarterback with at least 50 pass attempts and no interceptions.
* RB Correll Buckhalter is averaging 7.2 yards per rush (17-122, 1 TD) in two starts this year. Since 2007, he owns the NFL’s third-best yards per rush average (5.2, 155-804, 7 TDs).

DEFENSE:

* Coached by long-time NFL defensive coordinator Mike Nolan, the Broncos lead the league in scoring defense (6.5 ppg.) and have given up only three scores (1 TD, 2 FGs) in 23 opponent possessions.
* Denver ranks first in the NFL in first downs allowed (27), second in yards per game (253.5) and third in yards per play (4.3).
* OLB/DE Elvis Dumervil tied the Broncos’ single-game club record with four sacks last week against Cleveland. His four sacks came in the second half, marking the highest half sack total by an NFL LB in eight years.

SPECIAL TEAMS:

* The Broncos rank fifth in the NFL in average opponent drive start after kickoffs (21.0-yard line).
* RB Peyton Hillis is tied for third in the league with a team-high four special teams tackles.

"Yeah, no question. I have seen this one from afar for all my life. It is a great rivalry. It will be fun to go into the Black Hole and play. They are a good football team. We have got our work cut out for us all week. We have got to have a great week of preparation and try to carry that over into Sunday" – Kyle Orton

"It is our first division game. We are excited about starting that process here. Against the Raiders, there certainly have been a lot of great games over the course of the years. I have watched them from afar, but it will be great to be a part of that. (Oakland) is a great atmosphere to play in."–Josh McDaniels

"First time I have ever made it out there. Any time you go to a place, a hostile environment, you have got to be much more together as a team and you look forward to the challenge." –Brian Dawkins

"I think Dumervil made the best transition from one position to completely another position that I've ever seen,He's showing his versatility. The guy wants to win and he does everything that we ask him to do." -Champ Bailey

Is Dawkins still playing with a cast, or is it off?

No Moreno.

Buckhalter and Jordan need to step up.

I want to see Hillis run it and catch it out of the backfield too.

Awesome... I can't wait to watch a professional football game played on dirt. Maybe Al will let everyone check out the above-ground pool after the game.

No kidding.

HellOOO?! McFLYYY?! Hillis needs some touches ... we should waive LaMont Warren and give Hillis his plays. Then re-sign Chad Jackson and have him return kicks. Can't coach speed, especially otherworldly speed. You're telling me the fastest Denver Bronco since Anthony Miller is not gonna run a kick or two back?

You're way off on this and I will tell you why. See if you can open your mind.

Hillis is young, and proved last week he will fumble the ball. He's a great young hard charging football player that still has a lot to learn about the NFL. I like him, he plays hard, but still has a ways to go.

Jordan on the other hand is a vet. He's been around the block. He has about 30 tds in his career to only 4 lost fumbles. Thats right in only his second yr in the NFL Hillis has 25% of the amount of turnovers Jordan has in his whole career.

So my point is they fill two totally different roles on the team.

Jordan is there as a back the coach can trust to not fumble the ball.

Hillis is there to play tough special teams, get a few carries, return a few kickoffs, catch a couple balls here and there.

At some point Hillis may grow to the point you don't need a big back vet insurance policy like Jordan. Right now though its the smart move and I'm surprised you don't see it.

You're "surprised" I don't see it? Your opinion that is? Your opinion you assume as fact? I thought we were moving past that kind of thing around here ...

We disagree pal, and that's that. I think Hillis has more than proven he is, at the very least, a dangerous 3rd down back. With some work, he could be one of the better pass-catching RBs around, I'm surprised you don't see it.
