Default Better question: Is Nnamdi better than Brandon Marshall...

We're coming into week three and Brandon Marshall's impact on this offense still hasn't been much. Whose going to get the best of who this week? Does Brandon Marshall break out, and show the fans and coaches that they're better off with him, or will Nnamdi keep him bottled up and make Marshall look over-rated and over-hyped?

Any predictions?

If Marshall shows up and is 100% committed to playing, then he wins the matchup.

Anything less than that, look for him to be watching from the sidelines again.

Nnamdi is faster but Marshall can overpower him and get position, he just won't beat him on any long balls anytime soon

for all intents and purposes, Brandon should win that battle given the right routes and a well-thrown pass

I think Brandon will come out and give 90 percent. I think that is what he has given so far and will until there is a shot at the playoffs and he can become the center of attention again.

I was watching NFL network and they were bagging on the coaches for putting him on the side lines?? They kept saying " there leaving there pro-bowler on the side lines " They seemed to miss the untimely holding penalty, the bad route running and lack of chemistry with the other players.

I don't know about Marshall this year. So far he does not seem to be part of the team. It's kinda like he is all alone out there. I think he may have went to far this time.

it's interesting to watch Royal, BM, and Scheffler have virtually no impact in the passing game

I am personally tired of them saying we have our best player on the sidelines

he may be the most physically gifted player we have, but right now he is not the best...show up, be a good team mate, catch balls and know the routes, then he can be the best

we won, get over it

Regardless of how much effort Marshall gives and regardless of how he matches against the Raiders secondary, I don't think the timing is there with Orton. So I don't expect an awful lot this week.

the way marshall is playing, i put Nnamdi on Royal. why waste my best cover guy on a guy who's schematically lost, semi-motivated, and drops too many balls?

I'm hoping that Brandon Marshall has a break-out week, but I'm not starting him in Fantasy yet. We're going to need him in this upcoming stretch after the Raiders. If we can get him installed and going in this offense, he'll provide another diminsion. I still have doubts about his ability to be consistent over the middle. His toughness is still an open question as far as I'm concerned.

If not for Tony dropping a ball, and Orton under-throwing him he could have had an enormous game against Cincy. Not many catches, but a ton of yards.

Yes....a text book great CB will always beat a WR that freelances.

You may be right by saying this. If the Raiders do assign Nmandi to Royal, then it leaves BMarsh on their next best CB, which is a major mis-match.

I could see Brandon having a huge game if he has learned the gameplan and gives his very best effort. Either way, the Broncos can win this matchup.

Go Broncos!!

my money says either a RB or TE are our leading receiver this week, Oakland's D basically dares it

I'll trade Marshall for Nnamdi in a Heart Beat, In fact I'll give them a 2nd round pick as a throw in.

Marshall's still not up to it ... he needs a couple more weeks.

But as good as Nmandi is, Brandon is better when he's all there

Yeah that. Never happen but it's a nice thought. Can you just see champ on one side and Nnamdi on the other. Dawkins at safety

As much as I hate the faid Assamwoo is the real deal and will shut down BMarsh. As far as that goes their entire secondary is solid top to bottom. We better be able to run the ball because Kyle aint going to shred that defense.

ask cutler (or better yet, bates). the 2nd oakland game last year was almost unbearable to watch on offense.

Ya, with the rules today, with a perfect pass and route, its almost impossible for any CB to stop a WR.

Someone should have told that to Andre Johnson and Moss before they were embarrased by Reeves

Yup, thats why I said almost.

The only one I saw was the underthrown pass to Moss. Which wasnt a perfect pass. Pluss Moss was running weak routes. He wouldnt come across the middle like a man according to Bart Scott on ESPN yesterday. Still gotta give props to the CB.
