Jake is far more "physically talented" than Orton ... totally different skill sets.

And if I was Jake , Who I like a lot when he played , during the Cutler drama and when he hung em up . And I liked the Cutler pick as well as much as i loved Jake you just don't get the chance to take a guy with those skills when you win a good bit and never pick real high .......BUT if was Jake I would stay at the lake house with my hottie and be happy . Cause I think he is totally at peace with walking away.

Speaking we don't own Jake's rights anymore, I think we just shouldn't worry about it...

Imo, we should not bring in another QB unless it's a QB that is above average. One that doesn't have more than one weakness. Plummer is probably a shade better than Orton, but he won't be winning any SBs, anytime soon. Why replace mediocre with slightly above mediocre? No... just play through... when we get the chance to get a franchise QB, even if it's a rookie.. again... jump at that shot.

I'd rather wait til the draft and take Dan LeFevour out of Central Michigan. In my opinion, the next big MAC QB

I like Jake, but A. he's been out of football - seems to have lost his desire to play... B. He's too old to get his swagger back, and C. Jake would be a horrible fit for the system.

We already have Jake back. And it's not such a terrible thing.

Upon edit, the pic from that site isn't showing so I attached it. And yes, I'm drunk.

Details details

Come to think of it didn't the Bucs recover a few million of Pats money in that trade that gave us a 7th round pick. If I'm Pat I pissed Shanny is throwing my money around like that. Several million in recovered signing bonus money for a 7th round pick, not good!

I remember the Griese vs. Beuerlein debates. Shanny would have been better off playing Beuerlein, but Griese had the huge contract.
