I missed the team taking the field on TV but I know in Philly, he was always a mad man coming out of the tunnel. Did he do anything today?

Weird... he came out on all fours, like something out of the exorcist, then the sprung up and pumped his arms and in the air and kicked his legs Ray Lewis-style, while screaming something.

His nickname is Weapon X and he loves Wolverine. He came out on all fours and he swiped his hands like he had claws (i.e. Wolverine). He didn't do a dance.

I've heard he has a conversation with the ball during warm ups. So far the ball hasn't listened to him but I know it will, probably next week!

Yup, I'd have to say that Dawkins has the same kinda of intensity Wolverine does. You gotta love it.

he always does a dance...right after the wolverine thing he runs, stops to do a little dance, then runs again. You can even see it in that crappy vid. Or all of his other highlight vids.

I love Dawkins as a player. Awesome. This guy is a monster. Its a shame that he spent most of his career in Philly. I think he's the best safety we've seen since Atwater.

Dawkins fires up Champ, and Champ has been playing exceptional thus far. That's good. |

Yeah, it's great to see them both out there. I was at the game today and you really do get a better feel for how the players interact when you're there in person. Dawkins frees up Champ to do his thing, you don't see Champ cheating in on the run as much anymore.

Dawkins hasn't made any huge, awe-inspiring plays yet... but if you're paying attention, he's made a lot of little, very important plays. He made at least one stop today that last year would have resulted in a huge gain. The guy is rarely out of position, and is a dead-solid tackler.
He's making a major difference out there, and not just with his leadership. He's doing a lot of little things to help this defense. If you Tivo'd the game, keep an eye on him. (Last week, too.) Reminds me of Champ, at this stage. Not flashy.... but extremely solid and a very productive player. As for Champ, he's looked good. I was actually pretty worried in the preseason but he's really looking good. |

Dawkins has had 17 tackles, 11 of which were solo. I'd say he's making his contribution. He's taking a lot off of Champ. I'm thrilled to have a safety for the first time since Atwater. I think it's made a huge difference in our D.

I only hope that our young safeties are watching, learning, absorbing everything they can from this guy. He is what a safety is all about
