Default Linebacker to work out for Broncos

Veteran free agent linebacker Johnny Williams is scheduled to visit the Denver Broncos for a workout Tuesday, according to agent Andy Simms.
Williams used to play for the Jacksonville Jaguars.
The former University of Kentucky linebacker was signed by the Jaguars as an undrafted free agent this spring.

It's scary to think that someone born in 1986 looks that big.

This is obviously a McSatan ploy to tear the team apart.

Overview
Rich Brooks and his staff elected to move Williams, a three-year starter at strong-side linebacker, to defensive end in nickel situations in 2008. The result -- Kentucky finishing behind only Mississippi and Florida in the SEC in sacks -- justified the decision. Williams' five sacks may not look impressive on paper, but his all-around game already intrigued scouts. Showing enough versatility as pass rusher to earn an opportunity at the East-West Shrine Game, Williams is sure to be on the list of teams looking for second-day pass rushers -- especially those operating out of a 3-4 scheme.

Criminy, what was the off season, the draft, and training camp for? We are still trying to work out players for key positions? We've brought in six or eight players now since the "final roster" was established.

Sorry, I don't mean to hijack this thread and turn it into another McDaniels Haters Club, but this is nutty! MAKE A DECISION BOY WONDER!!!

I kind of wish we were getting Derrick Brooks .... MOAR OLD VETS!

... it will be weird to have the entire Kentucky Wildcat LB core from 2 years ago on our team.

It's probably a stop gap while Larsen recovers.
