It's a small firm but they are offering a pretty generous bonus for passing the test. The process is really up to me. I'll check into CPAExcel. Thanks.

Just make sure you take FAR first. It's the hardest one by far.

A lot of people take FAR first. I didn't, but a lot of people do this strategy.

As for learning tools, Becker is pricey but I used it and I passed all the parts. I've been a CPA since November.

If you do take Becker, let me give you some tips:
1) Don't buy the notecards, I found them useless
2) Only buy the in-class sessions if you have trouble motivating yourself. What they do is just play the DVD (that you already have a copy of) and answer a few questions. Kind of stupid. However, I did buy it, and for me I enjoyed the structure of having set class times and being on a schedule for studying. But not everybody needs that, and it's a waste of money if you don't.

If you don't mind me asking, what's the bonus? I'm just curious as to other firms' policies. If you want, PM me.

Lastly, pay no attention to the moron above me.

FYI, my duties with this firm are to assist with audits of non-profit organizations. I fail to see how this is an evil act.

not meant to be personal at all. i am just aghast at the whole financial community for perpetuating fraud on the human race. if you can turn GAAP against the banksters, then maybe it will be of some benefit.
