Is anyone actually surprised that this play happened on Gus Johnson's watch? What is it with this guy?

This was a decent throw by Orton if you freeze the video at 1:26 you see Marshall is preparing to catch the ball at chin level before it is tipped. The defender is barely able to tip this ball. Its very possible that if the ball was not tipped the broncos would have got a completion and could still have moved the ball in range for a field goal.

Most people say this was a bad throw, so I'm disputing that.

Play-by-play announcer Gus Johnson provided Brandon Stokley's fluke touchdown with the appropriate amount of "ZOMG!" freak-out-itude. But he displayed the same enthusiasm on about 30 other plays in the game before that. And that's the catch-22 with Johnson. It's hard for him to dial it up more. The only fitting way for Johnson to call that Stokley touchdown would have been for him to light himself on fire and jump out of the press box. But no one would want that.

Can't find a link for the Bengals radio call, but it sounded a lot like this one does at the end. Right around the 4:00 mark is what I'm referring to.

I was going crazy even more than when we beat Buffalo a couple of years back.
