Ouch, though I thought Lloyd was easily better. To make way for Marshall or Holliday?

The signing of Holliday and the reinstatement of Marshall resulted in 54 players. The Broncos had to cut one down. Given that they had 7 receivers on the roster, this makes sense.

I thought they were already accounted for in the final 53?

My first thought would be either Simms or Orton is not quite ready to go for the opener and we'll be bringing back Martin for the emergency 3rd QB job.

Always wondered why the didn't use him for punt returns too

You just can't coach speed, and there's no substitute for it as a returner.

And so it was that trading for Javon Walker was still a good idea.

For the record

Mcdaniels let an ex-patriot go. Does he have to cut all of them to no longer be accused of favouritism?

Dude.

Billy B just let one go so Joshy had to follow suit. You know that. (josh and the broncos)

You and me both! Top of my wish list almost, and then once he slipped into the second I was like get him! get him!

... And that's why I'm not in charge of the broncos draft

The Broncos keep Jackson in case they dealt Marshall. With Marshall back on the roster then no reason to keep Jackson.

This means we see a lot of Lloyd and McKinley on Sunday with Marshall needing time to get up to speed. I was impressed with Lloyd in the preseason and think McKinley is going to be a real good player for us. I'm excited to see what he can do when the games count.

For the record Shanny picked him up last year so he was a Patsy castoff that Shanny picked up. It is not like the Broncos HC brought him over to help him control the locker room.

I remember I wanted him back in 06 as well. Fell down fast. Had great speed, remember hearing not such a great head. Hope he gets picked up
